People need to realize that space research is our only way of survival. Our little blue green planet is extremely vulnerable, whether it be a wayward chunk of space rock or even worse, the millions of threats we haven't thought of. Why should we risk our existence on the survival of this planet alone. If you and a friend had to fly to another country to push the button that would save the world, would you take the same plane there?
Strangely enough, the scrolling is working in Phoenix now.. I'm totally confused but.. Maybe as someone posted below it's only happening on some pages. I'll have to investigate further.
Let's hope they don't release their spam developement software on the world.. A show of hands, is RealPlayer not the biggest piece of spam trash software ever developed?
Maybe the question being asked then is not whether we would be so kind as to donate our spare CPU cycles, but whether we would be so kind as to donate the extra pennies worth of power to a good cause. With enough people donating a few pennies each we may someday have a mountain of knowledge on which to stand. Does this scenario bear any resemblance to open source software developement to anyone else?
Get yourself an eggdrop bot or other bot with ban management that will allow you to have as many bans as you like and put that in your channel. Since you assume that the average person can get access to a bnc or shell account I'm sure you yourself could run an eggdrop. I thought eggdrops were required on EFnet, what with no services.
If you had many of these optimized programs though, you could distribute them in a very compressed.tar.gz regardless of whether they would take up a minimally smaller amount of drive space once installed.
I'm curious to know how much the people really love Kevin. Do you look up to him? Would you take your life down a similar route? Would you want to see and do the amazing things he's done at the expense of your freedom as he has? Would it be worth it? Would you trade lives with Kevin?

That's precisely why I don't use Phoenix.. I love it, but until it scrolls, it's crap
Does Depends Diapers still offer free samples?

And what of the energy savings if the cpu's extra heat production helps heat the building in an area where it is cold? :)
I am a huge vi fan myself, but there will never be a replacement for CEd! I seriously don't think it's possible to design a better editor.
