Of course you can, you just need a cable with the proper connection on both sides. Note that most USB cables have an "A" plug on one side an a "B" plug on the other, so you'll either have to go through a hub or get a proper cable like this one. If you try to hack your own cable and put two USB hosts direct together, you could fry one or both. That's windows, or mac, or anything, BTW.
But you're not saying you can do that with two Macs with a normal USB cable. I think you're talking about a firewire network, which windows does easily as well.
Somehow I think we've lost sight of your original point, which I never quite understood to begin with.
Surely your "uninformed speculation" jab was self-referential? Because you and the other guy who keep claiming you can multitask on an iphone using the SDK are WRONG.
You need to try a little more research. Smartphones with every function of the iphone and more, except maybe the screen, have been in the $100-200 range for years (You can get a verizon PN-820 with windows mobile for $100 right now.) That's half or a fourth the price of the iphone with more real functions. Now, if you want the cool UI and the big multi-touch screen, then the iphone is it, for sure, but to claim it's as much a "computer that can make phone calls" as other offerings is ridiculous.
Did you miss the point that the SDK will not allow most of those "cool" apps he listed to be installed on an un-jailbroken phone? The SDK may lower the bar of entry, but it also lowers the level of functional possibility of iphone apps, to the point of being nearly useless!
Amazing. Any other company that locked out key features from any program to be installed on a device you buy (not rent) would be chewed to pieces here on/. But if Apple does it, it's for our own good. Because us developers are too stupid to be trusted with the really useful features just yet. Maybe when we grow up a little, uncle Steve will let us push the fun buttons. Wow.
And that's not to mention the utter amazement I felt upon seeing key API features compared to a clitoris. Oh lordy!
True. If they're doing "the right thing," they're at least satisfying their own personal need to do (what they see as) "the right thing." Altruism is a myth.
There is no such thing as pure, true altruism. Even doing something "just because they are good people that care" is satisfying a selfish need to care and do good things, because it makes you feel good.
BTW, I think (hope) you meant "compensation" and not "retribution."
Why "must" it stop? Why are whales any more important than pigs or cows or chickens? As long as they don't mess with endangered species, which they don't, I don't see the problem. With your attitude they (PETA?) will be coming for your burger and wings soon.
Except those replies were pulled out of someones ass with nothing to back them up. In fact, this whole "Japanese like whale", "No! Japanese prefer beef" is bullshit. Japanese people aren't that homogeneous and selective -- most of the many I know like both whale and beef! Some may prefer one or the other, and that preference may change with time or situation, but it's ludicrous to suggest that Japanese universally, or even in majority, prefer one or the other.
American's only eat hamburger! No! They like chicken wings only!
No, it's because commercial whaling has extreme limits on quotas, etc -- but whaling for research does not.
Yes it does. In fact, whaling for research has lower quotas than for commercial/consumption purposes. Why would you just make up a statement to the contrary?
what the worst that can happen? People are nicer to each other? Believing in God has no 'cost', believing the church is infallible and that religious texts are infallible is what 'Pascals Wager' exposes
Can you really have one without the other? I mean, unless you're just making up your own god (not that there's anything wrong with that) you're basing it off of some religious text, and with that comes a lot worse things than "people are nicer to each other.
OK, I see you're after a semantic point here. That's cool. Perhaps we can agree then that Spitzer is corrupt? You know, because he busted some rings while patronizing others.
Are you kidding? That document is on wikipedia.com right now! At the link in the GP post. Now go read it and understand the context, then feel stupid and ashamed. You wiki apologists really need to take a breath or two before you lash out at anything you perceive as anti-wiki (especially when it's incorrectly, in this case.)
So an AG busting some illegal porn rings while using the illegal services of a different illegal porn ring isn't a problem for you? Doesn't seem hypocritical at all? Really?
Yeah it is, but not because of the "vigilantes" squirting trespassers (oh heavens not that!) but because there aren't enough police to keep all the drug dealers and criminals in line. You can thank the War on (Some) Drugs for that, since it makes sure there's a lucrative black market at all times.
I read that too, but it hardly seems fair if it's his property and they're trespassing. I mean, if he had a sprinkler system (assuming the current GA drought wasn't going on) and it soaked them, that wouldn't be assault, would it? What if he triggered the sprinkler remotely? Would that be assault? If not, then what makes using this "auto-sprinkling robot" on his own property "assault?" Because it's mobile? Because it looks like a cheap Dalek? I don't quite understand where the line is.
Then again, maybe he just needs a good, tall barbed-wire fence. And a mean dog.
Meredith has a security guard at the center who leaves in the early evening. "They know when the guard leaves," she says. "They know when the cleaning crew leaves and then here comes the drug dealers to prey on the homeless people."
I think the issue is homeless people. They are being confused with the folks who prey on them and sell them drugs
Right. The homeless people are confused. They actually think they are applying for jobs and/or educational classes, but they somehow get drugs instead! They were confused! The dealers force them to buy drugs, with confusion techniques!
Drug pushers don't exist. No one has to push drugs -- they sell themselves.
Once the right (wrong) people figure out the thing only has a water-gun for defense/offense it'll be stolen and or destroyed in record time. Clever idea though . . . while it lasts.
Did anyone ready the PDF of the letter they sent to Howard . . . in Canada . . . citing the DMCA (a US law?) I don't know where HoFo's servers are, or if Canada has a DMCA-like law yet, but that seems pretty silly and maybe Howard should prep a backup server not in the US just in case. Then write the idiots at MobiTV a funny reply like the guys at the pirate bay do.
Bigger? OK. Louder? Probably. Cooler looking is subjective, for sure. But more destructive? I'd say they're both tied for zero in that category. That "battle worm" thing just flailed helplessly as a little car bashed it to death.
For cooler looking my money's on the Japanese snake robot at the end of this video -- its' much smoother than the one in the OP.

And who pays all this "cash?" If Nobody EATS IT! then who is paying for this "lucrative" operation to harvest (actually non-endangered) whales?

Hello. This guy prosecuted people for prostitution. And then he's caught seeing hookers. You have no problem with such hypocrisy?
I think you may have watched one too many After School Specials. Or spent too long in D.A.R.E. class.
A lethal squirt gun? That must be some serious water pressure.

Silly MobiTV -- you can't copyright an URL!
