Ofcourse that is what the spindoctors will make them say: they have been doing it all along to show the evils of patenting. but if they're not saying it now, I will not believe them.
Ha! your halfclick shopping is obviously inferior to my 'no-click shopping'. If your pointer as much as touches a product, you bought it. onmouseover.. 'nuff said.
I disagree with you I guess. the big strength of X is the ability to choose your own look and feel. windoze annoys me because of the complete lack to set my own feel to the GUI, so I am a strong advocate for choice. choice in wm, apps, editors (even emacs if you are so inclined). I don't like to be forced to use some distro's favourite wm, I like to change it to my own tastes.
It's known to you what we need; we want to slurp strong drinks.
It's never been more true than today. how appropriate. guess I'll have to wait getting completely pissed out of my skull til friday. bloody thieving bank...
float combos.. hehehe.. careful though.. some games will crash on float combos (Tekken 3 coinop crashed on me first time I played..)
The trick? a fight in tekken 3 does not finish when opponent is out of life, but finishes when opponent is out of life and hits the ground.. keep a knocked-out character in the air long enough.. and woompf.. crash.. never managed to repeat it though..
Citroen spawned the humble, yet quite fantastic 2CV. One of its design specifications was that a farmer should be able to drive it over a bumpy, sandy path with a box of eggs, without a single egg breaking..they're pretty neat things:)
Ofcourse you can't say whatever you want about a company.. just like you can't just say anything you want about a real person. This doesn't make it corporate speech though..
this isn't exactly the case. when I buy microsoft windows, I get the microsoft explorer, the microsoft notepad, the microsoft disktools, the microsoft.
But when I get.. say.. red hat, on the distro I may find: the red hat installers, mozilla, lynx (wait a minute.. that's 2 browsers) several programming languages (NOT a redhat product) etc. well.. that's quite a big difference
//rdj, not in a good mood today, so my english may not make much sense..
Indeed.. it should in this case not be the owners of the cars. Rather, this would be a GRAVE mistake by either the cardealer or the manufacturer for providing an unsafe lock. This would equate to not the company being responsible per se, but rather those who supply/setup the servers and software. On a sidenote.. the FBI in this? I'd say this is like 700 people picketing in front of some store, making it impossible for everyone to get in. picketing isn't illegal, is it?
1 small thing: some members of the iguana family CAN change colour. in particular some of the species of the iguana-family 'anolis' are quite capable of changing colour, even though over a more limited range.for instance the green anolis (anolis carolinensis), which is indigenous in the US, can change colour between green and brown. Also, it has the climbing abilities of the gecko with it's 'sticky' feet. The iguana family is quite a large one, with quite huge differences in size, the smallest iguanas are about 20 cm, the largest can reach sizes over 1 meter (all including tail) The iguana you probably are referring to is the largest one(I don't know the name in english I fear. translated from dutch: green iguana). it lives in the trees, but it eats mainly fruit. It does not need to be fast, fruit won't run away.
sounds like a decent idea, except I do not agree with the donations thing. This may not be such a good idea for schoolbooks. The way I see it, schoolbooks should be free of commercial messages, even voluntary donations to a good cause. schoolbooks should be neutral and unbiased. If this is done for the MLK legacy, the same can be done for less 'worthy' causes.. things like Hitler's speeches. Senator McCarthy's speeches. etc. One can include some 'Write here for more info' but I would strongly urge to keep the3 information unbiased.
While we're at it, let us outlaw: -pens: they can be used to copy books -pencils: see pens -white-out fluid: This can obviously be used to alter the content of copyrighted material. -singing: only the original artist is allowed to reproduce the song/whatever. singing in public could make copyrighted material available for everyone who happens to walk by.
hmm.. It sounds like a nice idea.. but I am not sure popularity is a good measure. Something like.. opera will never be as popular as say.. britney spears. Furthermore I think this still puts too much power in the hands of the musicindustry's giants. Power which I think should be with the artist. I don't pretend to have all the answers, but the attempts of the corporate giants to control what we can use to play, where, and when need to be stopped IMO.
sorry. we can't think of any reason why this would be a bad idea..basically because this is not a unique approach. nobody is getting hurt, and nobody is even losing profits.
Ah.. the letter vs. the spirit of the law. Thanx for the good explanation. I guess such a thing exists in just about every country, but the wording was a bit vague for me (not being a native english speaker)
We pay for the dvd, but are not allowed to play it the way we like. I fail to see the problem. I can build my own tv. I can build my own VCR (well.. in theory.. I'm not that handy). Why can I not build my own dvd player?
most people here do not want censorship. including me. What CAN be done is to simply attack blatantly false information. You claim blacks are not human? simple to debunk. Blacks and "Humans" produce fertile ofspring (well... if they want to) so they must be the same species. Just attack a racist with what hurts most... the truth.
if jay and bob are in it, I gotta see it. anyone klnow when scream 3 comes out in the netherlands?

Or perhaps he just really likes Bruce Lee movies, which are also in the package, as it says in the article.

Just go to hospital, first aid department. Wait til you're first in line. and have some methanol handy...
Nurse: what's the matter sir?
you: I'm about to go blind because of methanol poisoning.
(Now is the time to drink some methanol)
The usual way to cure methanol poisoning: saturation with ethanol. Up to the point of getting poisoned by the ethanol.
Disclaimer: If you actually try this you're pretty stupid, so don't come complaining to me (if you can find me on sound and smell)
