What's up with UnitedLinux members? Last week TurboLinux, now it's Caldera... who's next? Will SuSE change their name too? or get Sold? Hope not. I like SuSE. I hate Sushi.
That's the evil of patents. Anyone who gets to patent idea first, will own a piece of your brain (and anybody else's). If you have an idea, or if you're going to have an idea sometime in the future, chances are somebody already owns it. And by that they own your brain. Because it's an idea in your mind and you'll never get rid of it.
Why, is a good question. But the answer could be that this desktop is not actually targeted for hackers but regular end users. And if I read correclty they're targeting specialized devices such as settop or dedicated email/web machines.
Their UI is very similar to a Browser/Web interface so it would be easy for momp, pop, little sister and that neighbor that insists on hangin' out on our living room to be comfortable with... hmmm... on second thought maybe it's not such a good thing after all;)
I think OEOne is a pretty slick alternative desktop. And with the addition of OpenOffice.org, the future just seems a litle brighter.
On a side, I think they should not just target a particular distro (i.e., RH and Mandrake) but maybe target LSB? After all Mozilla is supposed to be platform independent, and much more so, Distro idependent.
I think TOS was great, TNG was descent, Voyager sucked and DS9 was worthless.
But I kinda like Enterprise. Fresh, a return to adventure, less stiffness. And I disagree with you: I think Archer, is the biggest asset of Enterprise (an anxious newbie captain trying so hard to make the best of what he's got); After all, the scenario is supposed to be the first exploration of humans into space.
Well, they pulled the plug on Bill Maher (Politically Incorrect). A decent talk show imho, both subjective and objective (maybe more subjective than objective), but nevertheless you get the points of view of many different type of people. Although, they never resolve anything or even come close, it still an entertaining discussion of current issues (in a funny kind of way)...
I for one don't like the idea of patents. I feel they are bad for society. Just put them in the public domain.
For chrissakes, people, this is NOT a bug. It's Microsoft's implementation of Peer-to-Peer File Sharing.
u don't get it, do u? both are signs of desperate attempts at salvaging a flagging business.

Omigod! Dr. Strangelove is Alive!
This would undoubtedly lead to more violence in schools. They should put an NC-17 rating for this kind of games and enforce them.
Absolutely not. Only the ignorant and naive would think so.
If you don't like the software that comes with it you could always change the firmaware. Try Rockbox , an open source project for the archos jukebox.
My thoughts exactly. For shouldn't we give "Kudos" to those who DO the right thing rather than those who DON'T do the wrong thing?
duh - uh ... sorry, XP is for ... ?
Could it be that dumber people tend to play more games rather than the games make people dumber? Peace! I know you're all gamers ;)
It looks to me like a bitten krispy kreme donut..
