On a more mundane level. One of my projects this year is to come up with a storage solution for approx 25 TB worth of image data, generated by scanning in our collection of historic maps ( approx 100,000 of them ). The brief is to have every single map scanned and stored in a way that allows it to be retrived and printed within 15 mins of the request being made. These discs sound like just the job:) Now if they come up with a jukebox system for them as well:)
Alternatively, you could stop taking the piss out of the guys' English. I'm betting its a second language for him. Unless you can talk his first language (Spanish?) at least as well as he talks English your best bet is prolly to hush up. OR you could be constructive and sign up with the the project on the Documentation Team and offer to help out with the language side of things.
The professions they are talking about are the public service professions such as Doctors, Nurses, Emergancy Services etc where transport is an essential part of their job. I think it also covers delivery services ( couriers etc ) but I dont have any hard facts to hand atm. Unionised or no, dont expect to be able to claim exemption outside of this kind of criteria.
Well I just did....
"Well, I just read about Molsons' law suit against the guy holding the Canadian.biz domain name, and quit frankly I'm appauled at the blatant bullying and stupidity going on here.

What on earth possessed Molson, or indeed their lawyers, to think that _anyone_ would connect Canadian.biz and the Molson brewery. I certainly didn't up until now. Now the connection I make is that Molson's corporate attitude leaves rather a lot to be desired. Quite frankly I wouldn't go near any product from a company with an attitude like that."
Anyone who wants to cut and paste, feel free.
Dont mean to put a damper on things but this is old news. Good Omens has been in pre-production for 3 years now and Terry Gilliam was always going to direct it. The Hold ups have been with money and financing, not the production team or cast list.
Last I saw Terry was waiting to see if the finance would be tied up in time to shoot Good Omens or wether it would get moved down the list a way while he shot Tideland.
Actually they wouldnt. They'd just prosecute you under whatever blasphemy laws applied. The existance of god is moot in this instance. It was a legal issue not a religeous one.
However the fact that the Vatican is seemingly able to lean on the Italian police sufficiently to get them to take such drastic action tells us something about the power of religeon in an otherwise secular society.
Lucky Ben :)
