Bullshit.
The only ones responsible for the death of the Dreamcast are Sega.
Also VMUs sucked, and so did the Dreamcast controllers. And Sega sucks. Sega can go to hell for never doing a sequel to Skies of Arcadia. Bastards, all of them.
They can go to hell for never porting Skies of Arcadia to the PS2...it's an RPG! It belonged on the PS2 with all the other RPG's not on the system that RPG lovers didn't own.
Aaaand...the DC's library was heavy on fanboy games (fighting games, obscure sega fanboy loved franchises) and not on games anyone cared about.
You are mistaken, pressed CD's aren't vulnerable to the problems burned CD's are...they should last longer than you do. If your information was correct, the early Audio CD releases would not be working.
Almost none of the games for my old systems work anymore. The cds for ps1 are past their lifetimes, and my NES games have no hope in ever working again.
There are plenty of people who take better care of their games and systems that have ALL their PSone games working. They're pressed, you know, don't be tossing them around like frisbees, keep them in their cases when you're not playing them and they should last a VERY long time.
And most of those don't need the precision of CMYK either, some mom & pop shop making up some two color flyers or business cards doesn't need CMYK as much for what they do.
The local printshop here tells you to use something called Jaws PDF Courier which installs a PDF printer. So...they probably STILL use PrintShop or maybe InDesign if they're lucky. Some probably just make it things up in Word!
Yes, there are some people who need CMYK for professional purposes...but most of those who complain about CMYK support in GIMP probably don't.
If PixetaledPikachu doesn't own a PC, then how does PixetaledPikachu post to Slashdot?
Who needs a PC to post to slashdot? you of all people should know that the Wii and PS3 both have web browsers fully capable of posting to Slashdot. It would probably work with the PSP as well.
We gave up on playing space invaders and donkey kong about the same time that your father did. PC games and console games are not equivalent. They have different demographics and the developers know it. Console games are more arcade-like and often numbingly repetitive.
It isn't 1983 anymore....there are some HUGE and very complex console games out there. Even the NES had some complex strategy titles.
No it's not, it's made for normal sized people not the 6 foot 2 inches tall 300 pound, hungry man eating, goatteed, overgrown "dudebros" who only play shooters and sports games that seem to be the Xbox's biggest fans.
In comparison to the shorter pasty japanophile RPG fanboys who like their PS3's and PSP's.
All sarcasm (applied to both groups) aside. I like the dual shock, it's just the right size for me, the Xbox controllers ( and the DC controllerthat it's essentially evolved from) are too big and unconfortable....I suspect that you've got larger than average size hands.
issued a firmware upgrade that disables capabilities which were sold and advertised on its consoles? huh? HUH?
Where does this idea come from? It was NEVER advertised by Sony. Sure it got mentioned on Slashdot and other geek outlets, but OtherOS was never mentioned in Sony advertisements.
Also you can always keep OtherOS by not updating your PS3.
Not going to be throwing stones, because I've only imported a PSD into GIMP...once, and the PSD had no text layers, and it worked flawlessly...for that PSD anyway. (was an old 2.2 version too, on a Sony PS2 no less...so I figured PSD support was even better these days) So I didn't know it did that.
I doubt they'd ever fix that issue, since the GIMP devs consider BIMP a soley bitmap "editor" (Which is why they don't want to add simple drawing tools to it"
How many home users make powerpoint files? And do you know what most home users actually use Excel do with it.....table formatting without doing any actual calculations.
ANY version of office is overkill for the "True" home user, meaning someone who isn't some wannabe entrepreneur or has a home office whose expenses they deduct on their tax returns. Most people could use Abiword.
And if they ARE running a home office...they shouldn't be using the "Home and Student" version, but paying more.
There was a time when word processors intended for home use didn't cost more than $50. Then along comes Microsoft: "Hey, businesses use our stuff so you need to use our stuff in the home, even though you might be a blue collar worker who never needs to open a DOC file....so dump your cheap C64's, Amigas or ST's and buy a DOS machine that costs more!"

It's probably a reference to HP Lovecraft's Mi-go.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mi-go
there are games other than FPS's and RTS's though, cooperative games, MMO's, turned based games, RPG's, Diablo clones, etc.
No, the real low end are the integrated 6150SE's in the basic computer sold at the 'marts. And many people are running less than that.
You are mistaken, pressed CD's aren't vulnerable to the problems burned CD's are...they should last longer than you do. If your information was correct, the early Audio CD releases would not be working.
I haven't bought one partly because of it being a Sony controlled standard,
It's no more a "Sony Controlled" standard than CD' or DVD's are. These are the original members of the Blu-Ray consortium:
Hitachi
LG
MIT
Panasonic
Philips
Pioneer
Samsung
Sharp
Sony
Thomson
Yes, Sony was the first one to release a player, and was and is strong force behind it, but it's NOT a Sony owned standard.

Damn Sony. Your consoles are overpriced. You've reduced their features of the new ones.
They reduced the features on the new slims to placate the people who said they were overpriced.

Consider business cards, letter head, flyers, postcards, etc.
Oh please, for those purposes CMYK is overkill. RGB is good enough for that. Hellfire, There are people doing those things in Print Shop!
Nuff said. Perhaps playing the game on the PS3 or 360 would be a better thing

Being kids we didn't care, and couldn't afford the video card AND the games.
Then you should have gone with a cheaper platform..or done without.
@#$#@$ Lightning dodging.

Do you just shun the game?
Shun isn't probably the right terminology, it's more like one simply doesn't buy it or worry about it, if it's for a platform one doesn't own.
For example, one of my favorite games is Chrono Trigger, but I don't own a DS, so I don't have the DS remake.
I'm making a note here, huge success.
It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.
or even play Mega Man Legends 1 or 2...it's like a playable cartoon.
It's made for little kids

GIMP's had PSD support since 2006 at least.
