Families in Iraq named children after George Bush when Saddam was first ousted. I think that tells a lot about who wanted what. Shesh, I'm sure even Uday'sfriends wanted he and his family out of there.
That war has granted previously unknown freedom to millions of Iraqis: those billions are well spent.
The moderator also missed the fact that not every politician is motivated solely by money. Some are extremely motivated by power and that is exactly what this plays into: the Internet is another means of communication that an oppressive government, should we unfortunately fall there under (which a growing number of people believe we already have), can 'legally' shutdown to quell their opposition.
While this is not expressly written in the bill's wording it is a potential abuse thereof.
The problem with this plan is how it affects our FREEDOM.
I'm sure some politician will get a touch of "its huge cash reserves" and bow the knee to their whims.
I'm actually SHOCKED to hear the have "huge cash reserves" - I constantly hear about them having cable and internet outages and bandwidth problems. They obviously aren't intending to use those funds to better their product.
Yeah, gravel roads aren't a requirement for that to happen... but I can believe it'll happen more often... unless they travel slower on gravel and it just doesn't happen without higher speeds.
Whether Republicans or Democrats are up in arms about this or not, the real problem is that, while both parties have been WELL aware of this/these loopholes, it only now that President Obama is calling them a "scam".
That, label, in itself, is a scam. This label comes from a lawyer, who like all lawyers, liberally use laws to get around things like: regulations and, sadly, justice.
Of course people with poorer backgrounds and lack of access to education will tend to embrace all the stuff that the Mullah/Priest/Minister indoctrinate them with.
Like this story about an embalmed man being raised from the dead?
Either these guys are a bunch of liars or a dead man was raised back to life. The freedom to believe is yours.
So, it's up to you to decide whether you believe the definition of God: whether God is able to do such things or not.
You might then have to decide whether God would do such a thing or not.
Besides that, and more importantly, what is harder to believe: Jesus of Nazareth was born of a Virgin or that he died for the forgiveness of everyone's sins?
Not only do you get a pay raise for it, but you get better looks at better companies. Also, there is a lot of training that happens to acquaint you with working within any company's environment and a Masters degree helps to convey that you are able to learn AND, communicate what you have learned, according to rigorous requirements.
My last argument: many community colleges will allow you to teach classes with just a Masters degree == more $$ on the side (or even full time).
You just condemned the kids after ALL of the complaints about PARENTS and ADMINISTRATORS.
You enumerated exactly what no-one in authority in this country has the courage to do: PLACE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EDUCATION ON THE PARENTS.
After all, if a parent can be sued for lots of $$ when their child breaks things belonging to others, why are they not also held responsible for seeing to that their children are educated?
Scotland has very poor exposure to the Sun as well.. well, perhaps worse. So, they're finding solutions with tidal power.
Japan might do better to consider the same. I can only guess fishing might be a serious obstacle.
Now where near analogous.

What is "promising" about costing $71,428.57 per home in this technology?

Spot on.
You forgot to mention the cameras in homes of the non-compliant.

Dang it, dude, you actually started an intelligent (I hope) discussion instead of 'loud capping' with something like:
Just because a bully becomes a victim doesn't mean the bully gets changed from being who they are or what they've done.
Ah, it's refreshing to have a great laugh before Noon.
Typical.
The Social Security System, which I would love to see abolished, if not privatized, isn't the only system abused by the U.S. Congress.
Actually, the core issue is that someone holding the purse strings thinks the work is worth $18 million dollars.

...WTF!
...Union shop.
Both their and your motivation sounds like 'capitalism at work' to me.

These are all miracles after all.
Congress might be working on that already.... and they should.

Sour pusses: that was funny even though it did include 'first post'.
Masters WTF

Sad and true.
I completely agree.
I guess that makes the parent post ignorant or, as I suspect, deceptive and self-serving.
