  2. Vader-lantern on Dremel Pumpkin Carver · · Score: 1

I carved a Darth Vader-lantern a few Halloweens ago using a pattern that I photoshopped together. There was only one actual cut so that the blade of the lightsaber would shine brightly, but it took about two hours to take the rind off of the rest of the pattern. Does anyone know if a Dremel (or other motorized tool) would expedite this process?

What sort of thought has been given to the "dynamic EULA" that comes about through the successive installation of various security updates, patches, etc. that come down the pipe so frequently these days? Would you be able to watch your fair use rights get wrung out like a wet towel as you progress from the "release" version of WMPXP through the various "fixes" to whatever form it will take in the future? That's something I'd like to see... especially since the advent of "Automatic Updating" as a feature of XP; most people don't ever encounter the EULA's for the updates that their PCs are installing for them...

H2K2 is a conference for hackers. From the above article, if you read slashdot, you already know about everything that's said at H2K2. Therefore, we can infer that if you read slashdot, you are a hacker. As reported a few days ago, the U.S. government enacts a new life-imprisonment punishment for hackers. Taking into account the corollaries above, we can infer that... Reading slashdot can put you away for 20-Life. Woohoo! :)

  5. Sure... on Where are the 'Construction Set' Games? · · Score: 1

Sure, Neverwinter Nights, case modding and ldraw are phat, but I think the author was specifically asking about products aimed towards kids... Lego, Construx, KNEX... these are still around in some form or another, but it seems like they're getting more and more expensive and the focus is shifting to older adolescents/adults who have time to play with toys... I suppose the resurgence of Legos and robots in the classroom is a start tho'...
