  1. Just Jack! on Jack Thompson Includes Gay Porn With Court Filing · · Score: 5, Funny

Just be grateful he's spending long hours, night after night protecting us from the gays. Maybe he should move to Iran I hear they don't have gay people there.

  3. Re:More Piracy? on Microsoft Cuts Vista Price To $66 In China · · Score: 1

YES! That is the model that they would like to pursue, then it is our duty as consumers to help them out. So start giving out those keys today folks. China has set the bar at $66, but I'm betting the industrious Americans can beat that and get it down to $50.

  4. Better Drivers? on Dell Asking ATI For Better Linux Drivers · · Score: 1

ATI hasn't produced a decent driver for any platform in their existence, why would they break the streak and change now? I believe it would be a win win for every graphics and sound card to go open source, then we might actually have some decent software that won't crash your computer. (are you listening Creative Labs?)

  5. No Drivers, No Configuration, No Dice on 2008 - Year of Linux Desktop? · · Score: 1

Linux still takes way more skill and experience to run and configure than the average computer user. Telling average joe to look at the kernel sources and edit config files is _not_ an option. Linux is awesome and I use it daily, but it's years behind Win&Mac for user experience. Also, users could care less if a driver is open source, they just want a kick @55 graphics card that works. This whole mess with reconfig and xstart ..etc is unacceptable in the retail market, which is what you think your going to make ground in. No stop all this drum pounding and join a project to fix this crap. Kubuntu Rules! whoooooo.

Why won't it happen here? Money. Program will cost millions to run, have extremely limited use and will never pass any budget legislation. ...except maybe in the state that houses GoodYear.

  7. Why I don't have a PHD on Johnny Can So Program · · Score: 1

Very simple because the cheap ass bastards running companies no longer reward you for advanced education. If I were to get a MCS or PHD I'd still have the same salary...position..etc. As long as companies look for the "cheap" programmer instead of the most well educated and trained, degree's will trend downward. Let's face it. Who wants to do all the work, spend all that time and money and get squat out of it????

I'm also all in favor of "watch our ad and see your tv show at no cost" type of programming.

I call dibs on the lawsuit against Martin-Lockheed for enabling poorly behaved rulers to kill millions in a single blow and cause global extinction. Missles anyone? Not to mention the car manufacturers for encourging theft with their ready to use get-away wagons, just add gas.

Do you really want to put yourself in a position to have your data taken hostage. And can they really guarantee privacy or does private just mean that it is protected from hackers, but they and the law enforcement can access it anytime?
I'd much rather see a sync over the internet from my systems to my systems using a pgp key.
