Avant is an IE extension that supports tabbed browsing. http://www.avantbrowser.com I actually like the tabbed browsing controls in Avant better.

I guess the definition of "low grade job" is highly subjective? A low grade job here in Oregon is McDonalds. Minimum wage, no benifits, no vacation, etc etc.

If a system like this was ever supported by the MPAA/RIAA does anyone really think $5 a month would be the going rate here in the USA? More like $5 a song. The theft will never stop until the RIAA/MPAA stop alienating their customers. An amazingly large percentage of this country would actually tell you that the RIAA/MPAA are getting exactly what they deserve. The same group would then tell you that it's wrong to steal a candy bar. It has nothing to do with a misunderstanding or dis-association due to the internet. It has to do with people legitimizing the theft because they are angry and they know they have no other recourse in this country. File sharing has become a grass roots campaign to punish the music industry.

BUT.... oo-defrag will never see more than a handfull of users thanks to it's ridiculous $44.95 price tag for a single user license. I keep telling myself that at some point smaller software developers are going to have to realize that there aren't a lot of people willing to spend $45 bucks on a single function utility app and price them reasonably. But no luck yet. ~Joshua Norton

I would worry less about user's trust and more about verification. I mean why trust netflix, paypal, amazon, ebay, or anyone? Sure they're all established now , but they all started somewhere at this same point. A small ammount of advertising would go along way to curing 90% of people's legitimacy concerns. People give up their personal information pretty readily everyday as the phishing scams have proven. ~Joshua Norton

If you read through the 19 pages of threats and fines your rewarded with instructions on how you can make a donations. That's classic. Here's another ridiculous quote: "For example, if you write informally to ask us about using one or more images that you saw on the CPRR.org website and ask what the request will cost, while not specifying a price limit, you are thereby requesting and authorizing us to fill your order at a price consistent with the Use Fee Schedule and the terms and conditions of this User Agreement, and to let you know the total amount due for the license by sending you an electronic invoice which you are obligated to pay." Also, by reading this post you authorize me to take your car. Writing, striking, calling, emailing, or talking to me or anyone who knows me or calling the police, a lawyer, or a hitman in an attempt to help retrieve your car will be considered an order placed with my company for 5 billion US Dollars worth of nothing.

I really have no problem with peaceful protesting as a way for people to express their opions. I doubt many people would consider blocking freeway onramps and breaking car windows out a peaceful protest though. Rgardless of the subject matter on the signs.

  14. Re:Disturbing on Slashback: Revolutionism, Media, Oregon · · Score: 1

The problem starts when people use the title of "Peace Protest" but run more of a "LA Lakers just won the NBA Finals Riot". Blocking freeways, breaking windows, vandalizing personal and private property alike are not actions of people seeking peace. They are actions of criminals who should go to jail for them. And if they hurt someone in the process they should go to jail for a long time. Just like any non "Peace Protestor" would.
