I'm saying that I beleive everyone who is pro-environment is anti-technology. Just the extremists. Just like I don't think every Muslim wants to destroy America, just the extremists.
Say what you will, but the tree sitters are the extremists.
I thought people like that were anti-technology. I guess they're afraid of burning fossil fules or something, I don't know. But why would they want Internet access if they don't like technology?
I'm personally sick of my parents complaining about how slow their computer is, even though they only use it for e-mail and web browsing. I have been wanting to get them off of Windows 98 for a long time now, but since they are so computer illiterate, I have been afraid to. This could very well be the OS that will get the away from Windows. We'll see.
The point is that this isn't necessarily the right distro for us, but it could very well be for our parents/grandparents/sons/daughters/alien sex fiends.
As usual, just my dos centavos.

In general, it's not that big of a deal.... A friend of mine works at an ISP, and he claims that only a small percentage of people are truly doing this, at least that they can find out. Most people who have wireless in their homes are doing it so they can sit out back by the pool with their laptop while they look at pr0n.
I use AIM, Yahoo Instant Messenger, and ICQ. I have seen MSN messenger. None of the others allow interoperability. Why should AOL make theirs that way if the others aren't following suit?
Is this just the highest bidder, as long as they have something to do with telecommunications? Maybe like the fact that they have a telephone in their office?
Actually, Doc Brown is the only person that I've ever heard pronounce "giga" correctly. Yes, it's true. Look it up some time.

Ok, I'll turn the Rush Limbaugh button off now.

You're referring to alternate physical paths. They are talking about a completely separate network. A very silly idea.
Disable STP? And create, or at least take the risk of creating bridging loops? That will bring the network right back down to its knees!
No, disabling STP is NOT an option. Learning how to use STP properly is the option.
Now I guess the 1-900 sex lines will have to actually hire real women... and good looking ones at that! :)

Sugar-coat it all you want. It's just as bad.

I wasn't aware of this.

Because it's a federal law.
I live in Missouri, and we have a no-call list. I guess this law overrides those lists? It sounds like another backdoor for the telemarketers.
Yes, you choose to use it. But you're not using it for free. You pay them to use it. They're already making their money off of you.

Scary....
I think I'll be opting out SOON.
Sure, if you're only making webpages.
