There's an easy solution! Have uncomfortable seats!
Take your standard Mickey D's booth. Nothing objectionable about those seats at first, but sit in one for more than 20 minutes and you'll find you are quite uncomfortable.
I guess it's taken a bit of the swagger out after the rousing twin sucesses of Spirit and Opportunity, but without failures, the successes wouldn't be so damn impressive.
The logic behind this is because most people in the red-yellow-green countries drive stick shifts, and it lets everyone know when to get into gear, since it takes a second to do so.
Also, if you notice, the moment the light turns green, a block of cars all takes off at the same time. In the US, the light goes green without warning, so the first car goes, and the second car doesn't move until the first car has moved a bit, and the third car doesn't move until the second car moves a bit, etc... and it takes longer than if they all moved in a block...
It's not stupid. It's just that their driving customs are different. (And more efficient.)

Perhaps you should only have to pay $3 for a car, since you don't own it outright (you're restricted from changing it in certain ways).
Actually, you can go ahead and make any change you want to your car. But if you want to drive it on public roads, then you need to conform to the standards set by the public government.
The question is how much should they control what we do with things privately...
This is almost good enough:

By the way, if you're into that, you might want to fill out one of these:

There's just something hilarious about that. Would have loved to see his face when he figured out what they tricked him into. Dumbass...
A little social engineering right back atcha', baby!

That's no accident!

You're thinking of _Angels and Demons_ by Dan Brown

At least no one got hurt.

Business plan step-by-step: 1. PROFIT!!!
The only thing about this kind of business that really makes me angry is that I didn't think of it first...
