Remove any bootable device from a PC and power it up. It will power up and sit waiting for you to insert a boot disk and press a key.
The computer is running and it's functional. Let it sit there for 6 months in THAT state and see how often it crashes. It won't. Hence, 100% of windows crashes are the fault of windows.

Everything I own is paid for, I owe no one nothing because I don't buy anything if I don't have the cash on hand to pay for it in full on the spot.
I can't get in trouble this way because I can't get in debt because I don't borrow money. Since I leave no paper trails at all I can't get screwed. Even if someone did attempt it, it would get them nothing. I have a bad credit rating due to the past incident and I've left it blemished to prevent people from being attracted to my identity again.
I personally have no desire or interest to be like everyone else and be a credit junky and live beyond my means. That's just stupid.
As it stands now, I do fine and am happy with things this way. I pay ALL of my bills in cash by driving to the payment centers, including my internet bill. And I use false names on all of my utilities and false SSN numbers.
I don't rent movies or games or anything else. I never engage in activities in which I may be required to identify myself, and if by some odd occasion I am asked, I give fake names and fake SSN numbers. And I do remember who I told what.
It works for me.
And most importantly, GET RID OF WINDOWS! Dump that POS OS and install Linux. Don't dual boot, just cut the cord and dump it completely. If you don't go cold turkey you'll never really switch.
While what I do is not within reason for MOST people, getting rid of Windows is. But if you've really be screwed over hard and you really want it to end, you'll have to just live differently. Life without the pursuit of materialistic goals is really not as bad as you would think..

I bought it on the spot, that was the number one selling point that I was concerned with. I went back a few years later to buy a VCR about the time the BETA / VHS shootout was coming to an end and was pissed to bring my $1,200 Curtis Mathis VCR home only to discover that it was made in Japan. I took it back that day (I bought it assuming everything was still made in Texas) and was informed that there were NO VCR's at all made in the USA, period, no other options.
Then they closed the Curtis Mathis plant in Texas and moved it to Mexico, where they produce shit, they assemble Chinese parts in Mexico by unskilled, low paid workers that live in cardboard shacks and stay drunk when not building TV sets for Curtis Mathis.
Now I have no choice in where shit is made when I buy something, it's either made in Aisa or it's made in Asia. Either choice and you get, crap. I want to buy things made in the US and only in the US. I want to see people here go back to work, I want to see *OUR* economy back up to par. I want to see the US go from being a consumer nation to a *producer* nation. We produce NOTHING here anymore, nothing.
What's there to do? Flip burgers, roof houses, mow lawns, wash cars, mop floors??? All the tech jobs are going offshore. All the manufacturing and assembly jobs are gone already. I work with video files that are average size of 5 gigabytes per file, some as large as 11 gigabytes each.
Also there are people that deal with huge scanned images (as I have in the past) that are many hundreds of megabytes per image.
Speed is critical.
