I have to say that I agree completly with this... My purchasing habits have definitly changed, as have my listening habits.
Downloading music has opened me up to many formats that I would have never even had the chance to hear otherwise. Alot, though not all, of the music that I purchase would not be considered mainstream.
As an example, one of my favorite groups is Outkast. Their music is always original, they never just go along with the latest trend. It is for this reason that I will happily purchase their CD. In fact, their last CD was just a greatest hits cd and only had two or three new songs on it. I could have easily downloaded those songs (which I did before the cd release date), but I still went out and bought the CD even though I owned all their previous ones and I could have just burned my own greatest hits cd.
Who else would you trust for directions?

Yahoo Maps steered me wrong once and I haven't gone back since.
