  1. Re:"Official Response" on Comcast Intercepts and Redirects Port 53 Traffic · · Score: 2, Informative

I can confirm that ComcastBonnie is an authorized Comcast rep. I've dealt with @comcastcares on Twitter (Frank Eliason) and Bonnie is part of that team. Frank helped me cut through some BS with my local Comcast office about a year ago. They look on the Internet for folks with complaints about Comcast, such as my blog post as year ago, and are pretty quick with the Twitter responses these days. And apparently Slashdot responses as well. @LibraryMonk

Judging by that dates on it 2000 to 2002, the patent probably is for Eternal Darkness, which is a great game btw. I fire it up when I want to freak some unsuspecting person out. The first time the screen flips or the memory card "formats" is priceless. But why does this need a patent?

What's a portal DVD player? Is that like a Stargate? :-)

  5. Background Info on League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen Trailer · · Score: 5, Informative

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is kinda like X-Men 1800's sytle with a dash of James Bond both in story and because it includes Sean Connery.

The League is a recuited by MI-5 to protect England and includes Captain Nemo from Jules Verne's "20,000 Leagues Beneath the Sea," Alan Quartermain from H. Rider Haggard's "King Solomon's Mines," and Jekyll/Hyde of Robert Louis Stevenson's "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde", H. G. Wells' "The Invisible Man" and Mina Harker from Bram Stoker's "Dracula"

My mistake, I should have said that the Long Count Calendar resets on December 21, 2012. Some believe that this cycle reset will herald/predicts a catastrophic event, hence the earlier comment.
