  5. Re:50 MPG Jetta TDI on EPA Fuel Economy Myth: Too High, Too Low? · · Score: 1

I have a similar situation. I purchased my girlfriend a 2002 Jetta TDI for her 100 mile a day commute. Her average mileage has been between 43-45 mpg. I agree, you have to love the diesel. Now if the emissions would improve. I talked to a gentleman who distributes bio-diesel and running bio at 5%-10% quiets the engine and increases fuel economy even further. He also mentioned that it is the only method right now to meet the 2006 low sulfur diesel criteria.

I am in total agreement. Ad-Aware keeps their lists up-to-date and that has enabled me to eliminate multiple issues including: spyware, adware, underware, etc. With the number of M$ machines I work on for the average layman (friend/family) this is an excellent tool.

  8. So What Do We Do on IE6 SP1 Will Be Last Standalone Version · · Score: 1

I have been a user and a developer and find it disheartening that we continue to rack up long threads about things that are outside our control. Granted, we can migrate away from the OS/Browser in question but to be completely honest here, we have to follow around a company that asks us as users and developers to jump through proverbial hoops anytime they feel there products limits what we can/cannot do. My only question is how do we once and for all come to a consensus on what is the best solution for getting what our customers(end-users) want? Assuming M$ OS's/Browsers are in the picture, we only have one option, do what they tell us to do. In other words, big brother drives our decisions.
