    Mir alternative to Wayland. also you could put "graphics driver" next to kernel, just because it's an important piece we often have to select/configure and it sometimes makes trouble. seems "desktop" over the "window manager" might be for same reason something to add to list.

    Oh please, you actually bring up the third problem, the cry of "not notable" in the minds of a culturally ignorant young person who only relies on search engine counts to determine notability.

    I was of course referring to articles with offline sources!

    "Notability" in the minds of most of the young internet users means they find all kinds of information on the net, but they are too lazy to get off their rear end and research and discover just how notable subjects were in past decades. They only take the view of their own culture in the "reality" created on the net and mass media.

    this disgusting attitude harms wikipedia, important topics have been deleted.

    There have been several worthwhile articles that were removed just because people are under the mistaken impression that most human knowledge is on the internet, and that if they couldn't find a linkable source sometime didn't exist.

    This foolishness has crippled wikipedia's usefulness and credibility.

    all of that would be worrisome were either one the dominant greenhouse gas on planet earth. but since the effects of CO2 and CH4 are completely dwarfed by the main greenhouse gas on earth, that are in the end of no import.

    By the way, the recent rise in temperature of the late 90s and early 00s correlates very nicely with 10.7 cm solar flux, not with atmospheric CO2 levels.

    you have a misconception, COBOL has the means to specify file structures that are platform independent, however there are also system dependent ones you can choose to use. Trivial to move ANSI standard COBOL with proper formats from one system to another, compared to say ansi C which might not even work at all.

    how would we know if these were uninhabited or not? coming will be systems that can analyze the atmosphere of these planets and look for signs of free oxygen, products of life, and products of civilization. it's an awesome time to be alive!

    saying pipeline can't be completed unless it cuts greenhouse emissions, Obama has shown himself to be a moron of the highest caliber.

    Energy use drives progress and has lengthened human life and quality of life. This fake "environmentalism" is just mask on religion of man-haters.

    Real environmentalism and the best thing for the human race is to go to clean and powerful energy sources that are superior to the polluting fossil fuels, such as advanced nuclear reactor designs that can't melt down and have no long-term waste products.
