I hate to say this but maybe in some respects we need to play the same game that SCO is playing, if we sour the milk with some code owned by say a 3rd party that we can trust sco incorerates that sowerd program into there stuff, then the trusted person fires lawsuits at SCO.
Not the but option but one noone seems to talk about, and yes I know it would be moraly wrong, but it would feel soo good.

Hay keep the ads in the page and i dont relly have a problem with ads, heck if you give me a way i will even give you info about what i like and dont like, but you rnt getting my snail mail address so dont ask
I may not run iss but even if @home blocks port 80 when i do have my servers up it dosent effect me seing as i mostly use it for a shell to grab my e-mail and ocasionly work on some programing or build in my mud. Personaly i dont have a problem with the solution asuming its temorary anyway, it stops the problem somewhat efectivly but i would rater see some mass e-mailing from the tech department with links to the patch and some easy instructions that even a 4 year old can understand. I am not sure if this will work but how about just telling everyone to go get the patch and run it then reboot if the computer dosent have the hole, ie 95, 3.1 and the others the patch will most likly fail. However I do agre that this hole should have never existed in the first place but oh well it dose were gona have to live with it for awile. A sidenote my badwidth has been affected but thats ok with me because i know there are times when i have used more than my fair share, now when theres someting that eats it up i will just sit back and wait longer to get my pages knowing that even though its a worm it could be other users to.
It would be grate for the people that have a wierd schedual or just cant get on if someone was recording this, I know it would be big but it would be nice and certenly would be a part of/. history!
If the program still works than wouldent that suggest that Microsoft hasent done enough to fix the problems, and the sorce code will help them fix the problems but also allow people to exploit more.
Maby it is just me but if all the moves were stored in a text file that had little or no formating within. Ex. g1f3 1 d2d2 2 d7d5 6 --- Well i think you get the drift a text file might just might be able to store a procedure that has so many steps involved, And compression could play a larg role in this to.
Last I knew Trolltech made qt not KDE, could be worng though.
