    What I would like to know is why all the outrage over Apple? Most Chinese factories have poor working conditions, so this would cover what, 95% of consumer goods.

    It hooks into a process say winlogon.exe when a shutdown event passes through it writes itself to disk before the computer is shutdown and adds what it needs to the registry to start back up and remove itself save the memory resident portion. On startup it gets reexecuted and put back into memory.

    Why this is news is a wonder, other than it being Java. We've seen it before, think SmitFraud.

    Not everyone has an array of sources to choose from. I have two choices, Cox Communications and Verizon. If for instance my ISP did this my only choice is going back to dial up, as I am unable to get Verizon service in my neighborhood.

    Don't forget most of London sits on top of chalk, I'm sure this 30 year lapse from planning to execution may have had something to do with difficulties arising from the first few tubes being dug out.

    This assumes said worker is hourly. If not then the employer would benefit from 1 employee working 80 hours vs 2 @ 40 hours. 1 employee on the health plan, benefits and other percs, taken into consideration.

    That's not saying much, there have been cases of airline employees smuggling things onto airplanes in the past. This seems to completely moot the purpose of the TSA and furthers the position that we really don't need the entity to begin with.

    I'd mod you up for this had I the points. I fully agree, if it were punishable by death no one would do it. Look at Asian countries for examples, read China etc.
    On the other hand we are allowed to drink ourselves into stupors until we need liver replacements while no one cares. That seem right to you?

    I'm from Texas and living in the US and have never heard of it.

    My bullshit meter went off on that one as well. Tackled for a J seems a bit excessive not to mention someone openly smoking in public where they know such harsh laws exist is a bit far fetched as well.
