  2. Re:Reads DVD-R at 2x. on Sony DRU-500A Review · · Score: 1

DVD reading @ 2x is not the same thing as CD reading @ 2x. As a general rule, if you multiply dvd speeds by 7 you get the equivalent CD speed. Thus 2x DVD speed is about 14x CD speed

  3. Re:I'm still missing Lexx on Premature Rumors about Stargate Season 7? · · Score: 1

Great tits, erotic undertones, a dead assasin and a live ship. Only thing it was missing was full frontal nudity. That's precisely the point. The show was such a tease. If it had full frontal nudity it would be worth viewing but it continually teasing me was not cool.

  4. What's left to watch on Scifi? on Premature Rumors about Stargate Season 7? · · Score: 2, Interesting

Without any new farscape episodes after the wrap up of this season, and if there were no more episodes of stargate sg1 after this series, would there really be anything worth watching anymore on scifi? (besides of course the good episodes of both when they are in reruns, but even that gets boring after repeated viewing)

I agree with you that the movie was horrible but I would say that the show is much, much better than the movie ever was

not that im supporting in any way the decision to not grant them visas....but on the point you make, it only applies to US citizens. The US has no authority to apply freedoms it outlines to people that are not their citizens (I don't think)

  7. Luminol on Surprising Science Demonstrations? · · Score: 1

I might not remember the experiment entirely, but i loved it when we experimented with luminol. I think you can produce the glowing blue effect by dropping bleach into the luminol. Of course it always works with blood :-P Kids love glowing/shiny things...it should be great to demo
