  1. Scott Charney on Shattering Windows · · Score: 1, Informative

I went to University of Michigan with Scott Charney and he's a really cool guy. A little background info is in order here. I really hope that he improves the Microsoft security record, and I really think he's enough of a go-getter to do just that.

What does unbuttoned jeans mean? Sorry, I'm not of USian descent.

  3. The Decline of Star Trek on Ricardo Montalban Recalls Khan · · Score: 1

As evidenced by my SAT score, I consider myself to be a fairly intelligent person. But I cannot force myself to watch the dredge that is referred to as Star Trek. Personally, I liked episodes 4,5, and 6; the new episodes: 1 and 2, are especially disheartening. Hopefully, Star Trek will improve in episode 3.

  4. Re:Remember slashdot when the iMac first came out? on Death to the 3.5" Floppy? · · Score: 0

Maybe that's because Apple did it at a time when it wasn't smart. I love how people think that dropping legacy support is always a great move. It's not forward-thinking, it's laziness. Apple didn't want to support floppies. They didn't. They abandoned floppies at a retarded time. If they abandoned them today, it would be one thing. Abandoning them 2-3 years ago(?) just screwed people that had a bunch of stuff on floppy

I was almost crying by the time I got to the end of the article (not because it was so well-written, but because my poor eyes felt like they had been raped).

A little history on MC Escher here.

  7. Asteroid on Slashback: Assembly, Avoidance, Civility · · Score: 0, Troll

I got a 1600 on my SATs. So I consider myself to be a pretty open-minded and science-accepting person. But who seriously believed the asteriod was going to crash into Earth. Simple math shows us that it would have to be going in speeds exceeding 300 MPH to crash into us in 2019. Any asteroid going 300 MPH would most definitely burn up before it reached the atmosphere.
