This can be turned of under (at least) Windows XP. So you can watch the BSOD. I did it once to figure out why my laptop restarted so often, it was because of a display driver problem.
BSODs are sooo helpful!
I got a lot of crashes with Windows XP home edition, now I am running Windows Server 2003 on my workstation, and it is really stable. No BSOD, (Win XP gave a BSOD at least every week).
With some tweaking and adjustment, windows 2003 is really usable as workstation. Even games work.
Oh and BTW: I am running a webserver (Slackware 9.0) on a P 120 with 48 meg RAM. Uptime now: 75 days.

No WMA for HP iPod

It is not easy to make benefits out of an audio format that is open source and not DRM, therefor it is easy to understand why they avoid ogg. And from the DRM point of view they could better look at WMA...
Oh, wait, where was this article about?
They should benchmark development time Java is just more easy to learn, but when you code as good in C++ as in JAVA, there should be no big difference in development time. But as said before, Java is more easy, thus from that point of view it has an shorter development time.
From their FAQ: if you are comfortable grabbing code directly from CVS, wrestling with incomplete documentation, and running into undocumented limitations, would you want to use the current software.
Undocumented limitations? That sounds like a lot of fun!
As long as most (older) people I know have a 56k or 64k internet connection, and have to pay per minute online time, VoIP and the like will not become mainstream soon.
It is not that those people do not want a broadband connection, it is just not available at an affordable price in a lot of places.
And in order to make something successfull it should be available to (almost) everyone.
It is the default shell for many Linux floppy distributions. It does NOT have command line completion, but when it comes to memory usage, you should really look at it.

Their magical (special) mount was the main problem. It was not implemented in NWN.

You have been rooted, welcome to BSD
From the Depenguinator site: it requires quite a lot of RAM (512MB is enough; 256MB might be, but I'm not sure)
Please give it a try on my Linux Box, 120 MHz and 48 meg RAM, running Slackware 9.0 hehe...
