I bought a brand new Elsa card. Then when I went to their website for possible newwer drivers, it didn't load. I expected maybe it was my DNS server or something really crazy, so i thought about trying again later. I thought for a while and did a search on Google. Nothing of relevence came up. I dug deeper, and it wasn't until I came across an artical in German (thanks to a handy translater) that I found out that sessied operations 2 weeks after i bought the card. Kind of sudden, unexpect and amazingly never announced here in the US. Well thanks to NVIDA, my 3D Revolator glasses work because they decided to over production of the driver. I'm just happy I had a friend who cached the entire site so that I could get my BIOS updates.
Just to be clear, ELSA isn't tottaly dead. At the last momment of closing show across the world, ELSA Japan/Asia got a big contract and is still in alive to make up some of their debt and at http://www.elsa.com.jp (funny how its the same site as the former elsa.com but with all the US and German stuff stripped out.)
You can really lick me where i pee... I work in a broadcasting studio for fox which explains that tv part. I wouldn't rely on facts to much on the internet, due to the nature of the internet. I feel very safe in Texas. People are afraid to commit crimes here, because of our harsh penitlies. It doesn't take much for us to put you away. We know better and we hold ourselves to a higher respect.
I wonder if they are using a Microsoft OS on those tablet pcs. I hope not. It would be funny to get a BSOD on a tablet. I'm afraid I would snap it in half. Just about did a week ago with my WAP cellphone when I could check my email because of a MS-ADODB error on Verizon's wap site.
The RIAA is really something. I so tired of hearing about them. Its always the RIAA doing something to somebody. They are like a spoiled rotten winney little six year old kid who throws a tempertantrum every time someone is doing something that isn't helping them make more money. I know if they keep it up, they will get some judge in one of their thousands of battles, that feels the same way. I hope they will hold them in contempt before they even get a chance to say anything. Maybe there is some congressman or senator who will use them an example for some kind of campain to gain support for himself by attacking the RIAA. I hope that happens. (they got my vote) It would be really nice to see them getting in trouble and get posted as the bad guys (as we all know they are but a little goverment backing would be nice). I hope they get a sanction by some judge to just STFU. Its time to spank the spoiled rotten baby for wineing to much because I'm getting a headach just listening to it.
Again I must point out that this person is another who did not read the other replies, or does not even notice that this does not become effective until 8/26...
Bull... Were you getting your facts from... ReallyFakeStats.com ?
Next time research before you make a claim like that.
Just to make things clear: Texas does not have one of the highest crime rates (even the Fox hit TV show "Cops" got bored and left after only 2 weeks of shooting in Dallas and 2 weeks in Houston and 1 in El Paso and they can get 4 shows in one night in Las Vegas); that Texan has no relation to Bush except for the fact that he is a republican (and any the malaricy that comes from that like endorsments he has to claim under that) and opposing the death pentialy has nothing to with the topic at hand....
Here is my quote for you: - Its better to remain silent and to be though of as just dumb, then to open your mouth and remove all dought. -
I wrote a script on my server web server (that constently gets hit over and over by nimda... about 300 times a day it seems) to use the vonrobility against them.
It uses nimda vonrobility to hit them back and gives them hundreds of popup messages thruout their system, telling them to apply the patch and get some type of security (then the scripts delete themselves). It also applys an "at" command to launch a vbs file on their system to remisystem nd them to get a patch.Just anough to anoy them.
It work seems to work. I impliment this because I work at a very small ISP here in town hosting dsl lines. Our lines are always getting eatten up by nimda, even still. This way it saves on our bandwidth for everyone else to use. The funny thing is that it works. Traffic used by nimda on the network has gone down dramaticly because of it. We applied the program to all the gateways (since they are all linux boxxes). Just added Apache with my scirpt to fish out as many people as possible.
I love it. We get calls from customers yelling and screaming that they didn't have nimda and we prove it to them by emailing them the log file. Some are even thankful.
