Apple is going to reinvent your TV by making it thinner. They will remove everything but the screen and give you a bag to hold all the dongles and parts they removed that the TV requires to work.

I specifically requested athiest only. Why would a female want a practicing member of one of the Abrahamic faiths? They all hate women. Those confused females that practice those religions would want someone who would justify their beliefs. I don't see a problem with that being an absolute filter.

Not many details yet, hopefully it too will target only Windows users and leave the rest of us alone.

It will not be Linux that does Windows in, but the marketers who abuse M$ software and drive M$'s users away. Perhaps M$ will smarten up and stop allowing this?

Yes, I am. When my husband and I shop together at the tech stores the clerks answer my questions to them to him. They don't ask him if he wants a large monitor to do graphics. When we went to the Apple store the clerks came over to ask if he needed help and ignored me. It is the same at car dealerships to and unfortunately you can't buy cars online like you can computers and electronics.

Reading the comments posted here I can't help but wonder if it isn't the same patronizing clerks in the stores who wrote these comments.

Here is a clue, I have a Master's in Computational Physics and I spend a lot on tech gadgets and computers. Imagine that a 42 year old, little old lady who does something besides buy gadgets for her husband.

I have been so patronized in tech stores I do almost all my tech shopping online now.

"No I do not need a large LCD to draw pictures on, I need it to see physics simulations."

"No I don't need a pop-up blocker, I use Linux and OSX, I out grew Windows when it was on version 3.11"

"No I don't need your over priced warrenty, if it breaks I'll fix it myself."

If it is true that women do most of the spending on tech stuff, then I expect like me they are doing most of it online and these patronizing boys will before too long all be unemployeed.

Agreed, I did this in the last downturn and that is excellent advice.

Go for the small to medium sized companies. When they ask questions, answer them with out charging for your time. You'll make your money when you do the software. Don't talk over people's heads and match your dress to the business, pin stripe suits for banks and blue jeans and baseball hats for garages. They will trust you more quickly and be less likely to hold back money or information later.

It takes an average of 5 sales calls to make a sale. So spend lots of time visiting and re-visiting local businesses.

Sign up as a software re-seller for some software you like that is related to what you want to be doing. It will help get your foot in the door, and th commissions can be quite high.

  11. diamond engagment rings on Diamonds - Are They Really Worth the Cost? · · Score: 1

If she wants the ring buy her one.

You will find price varies greatly for the same 4Cs and there are some excellent on line deals. You pick a diamond, they ship it to a local jeweler for your approval and you purchase it if you like it. Antique stores usually have some nice ones in the display. The older diamonds are often of better quality than you can buy now and you can get it remounted if the setting isn't pleasing. Most jewelers in malls etc will sell you the ring for 50% of the marked price, don't be afraid to bargain some.

A rule of thumb the girls use is 'if he is too cheap to buy a diamond, he'll make a stingy husband'

You can get a good re-sale on the diamond by trading it up. Often couples starting out don't have much money and don't buy large diamonds. Any reputable jeweler will take a good diamond in trade for a larger one later.
