    So either the net cafe should download one copy and burn 50 SP copies and charge 25cents to 'borrow' the cd, with 15c refund if the bring it back.

    Recycle the damn CDRs idiots, like the unsold food.

    Surely if bandwidth is so rare and expensive, swapping and passing 1 CDR to 100 people will be easy.

    No magazines there to buy that have the SP on cd?

    Maybe all those pirate dvd movies should have SP2 included too.

    Okay, add a $200 motherboard, and get a OEM copy of WIndows7 for $250. (see cpl.net.au )

    Now, im sure no one gives a rats ass if its not AllInOne if they save $1300. Only rich dudes dont care what price they pay.

    Second, all/most apple products in australia have the 40% jack up premium price rise, and dont tell me its for local advertising, because they dont spend that much.

    But if you want something comparable, Dell has allinones too.

    one question, why is the building SQUARE, and not circular, like a big cylinder , surely fast wind will pass a big TUBE easier than a square shaped building.

    two things.
    Transfering gigs of files, ie movies and isos, my wife does it trivially easily from the laptop to the linux server (samba config is the other bitch with users/perms but thats the insane .conf file and no gui) Its fast enough, and its over wifi .g too. Transfering a desktop to USB HD, fast as a linux vm with cp commands.

    Sharing folders, ah man its trivial in 7 too, feels same as XP, just have more options, so I just share a /things as perms rw everyone, how hard can it be, are you that 'unlearnable' , maybe your brain has HD full, cannot learn new things.

    Macs are ok, but Obj C sucks, wasted skill set unless you can make mac stuff. There are equally as many crap things in finder (parts are still in 68k btw dude). Go to macintouch.com , not all are happy.

    Maybe .Net is too easy, and too many newbie school leavers can do it , that it drives down the contracting wages to very low levels, is that the main reason?

    run filemon and regmon from sysinternals and do the operations.
    whats what windows does.

    theres a 1000 things windows does in the background, checking external resources/links, devices...

    win95 supported less things, so its 'copy process' was simple.

    the biggest hog/devil is the windows desktop explorer.exe , the shell is the hideaous monster in xp.

    it should have been lots of small daemons/ sub procs instead of the fat pig it is.

    then again, for MS to release stuff quickly they do enough to get things working bug free, but not fast, then release it.
    the next version of OS in 5 years is the optimized version.

    Well, developers, your all idiots coz you cannot change a car engine, or make your own fuel.

    One thing I think every OS should have is scalable desktop like PDF files, allow you to dynamically change DPI/zoom level to show any 'soft resolution'

    And one point to you developers, if screen sizes can change, to be small, start placing control buttons on the top, not the bottom of wizard/property windows. Yes its different, but its better.

    I also think ubuntu should have a 'safe mode' boot or last config boot, or default config boot option.

    If youre device is UNSUABLE when youre drunk, youre device is toast.

    Make any device easy to use so even when youre half blind, cant see, and still can use it , then its good.

    ie, large fonts, less words, more icons, logical intuitive layouts.

    Modern schooling is a scam and so 19th century style.

    All documents, experiements, videos, faqs, tree logic diagrams, questions, answers can be placed on a google like Education Matrix.

    With 100000s of forums, and realtime chats in webmode and 3d mode ala FPS games, most teachers can be made obselete, saves them repeating dribble over and over again, just write it/record it once.

    I can't believe that these so called smart professors cannot design a 100x better system, that can teach 1000x more people with 1000x less resources/humans. Redesign the system and pretend you have to meat 2240 Startrek baseline.

    But hey, if it means making 1000000s teachers unemployed and giving away 100billion $ worth of education away for free, then all at every level will prevent it to preserve their own wasteful jobs.

    Just like North Korea, most of humanities jobs are protected even tho its massively inefficient, and duplicative.

    My point is that most professors/scholars can teach 100x the students they do now if it was more automated/computerized, and made 100x cheaper for all, but it wont happen as long as theres massive money interests sucking students future earnings and fun away by evil interest rates.

    Lets hope all financial banks fail, and all currencies get replaced by a global one, with 1% interest rates for all, with zero markups by banks and agents or resellers.

    See a problem? then fix it, regardless of a bug list, report # id.

    1. i dont care really, who cant build a PC for $100 bucks, or run 10 linux's on VMs.
              Its not a novelty any more, every desktop can run several linux VMs.
