The only thing about the zebra danio (the parent fish) is that it only gets about 3-5 cm long, ever. Now, i know that it's not known whether the genetic manipulation of the danio to glow under UV light would cause one to, say, survive in temperate waters (they're a tropical fish), or grow to enormus dimensions. Nonetheless, the millions of fish raised and tested to bring this pet to market should be sufficient to show that there is not a great chance for this to happen.

it's a fair oversight. all i am saying is that the p4 was designed to best at things that require the most processor-intensive labor, forsaking some minor things that could be better handled by memory utilization improvements. (in that field, intel could stand to do some work)

Unfortunately, SOME software vendors like to sell corporations 'packages' which include regular 'upgrades' to whatever system is being sold. This basically means that the company has tied itself to upgrading, whether or not they need to, simply to keep getting new hardware/software at a reduced price.

I personally feel that this system was once beneficial to the companies, when computers and software were advancing so rapidly that the only way to get the maximum benefit was to upgrade regularly. Today, things have calmed down a bit, and a (for example) pentium III computer is very much capable of doing most jobs. Hopefully corporations will realise this and begin hanging on to hardware/software for longer amounts of time.

I've been wondering if Sony changed the name from Playstation to PSX, and subsequently PS1 and PS2 due to this issue? Just think about it: Sony knew that Nintendo had joint ownership of the name, so they began phasing it out. The name was too recognizable to drop completely, so Sony just slowly started shrinking the Playstation word in the title of anything, with the intention of not actually calling the console that name anymore. Any opinions? If this is redundant, i'm sorry.
