    When anonymous gets a hold of the image data and tags it to passenger's facebook wall... that will be the day public has had enough. It is hard to get people off the theater. When anonymous puts a hold of the image data and publishes senator's likenesses, that will be the day they outlaw it.

    Amateurs.

    Standard return practice is:
    Walk to front of line. Place product on counter, take photo. (At this point everyone usually shuts up and looks at you waiting for your next move, because you're the boss). "I just charged this back. If you want, you can take my credit card and return it instead."
    Afterwards, get on your motorcycle (conveniently parked in the handicap spot) and head out.

    people ask me for bytecode samples all the time, I embed them in DOC and PDF files to be opened by HR people on unpatched systems

    people ask me for code samples all the time, they're called DOC and PDF files opened on unpatched systems

    Introduce tort law in the banking sector, just like they have in the medical sector.

    When Google applies Gmail spam detection technology to blogger that will be the end of blog spam.

    The problem is Google fails to release any product that makes them money. Since they hold the keys to speech recognition, language translation, and spam detection, you can be sure that the science will advance in these fields at Mach 1 pace, and zero useful/profitable products will be made available.
