That is the problem, if you went to a school and wanted to train kids on ways to properly handle firearms, you'd be labeled as right-wing crackpot. In my hunter saftey class we learn that the year that dnr made hunters attend hunter saftey classes the accidents dropped by a tremendus amount.
Plus we'd bomb the living piss out of anybody that tries to mess with our brothers to the north anyway. Besides who would make our robotic space arms if we lost canada?
I read, i think in Discover that they think that as you approach the event horizon that time slows down. So you could send something in but it would never really reach inside because it would get frozen in time before it reached. I dunno i thought that was kinda interesting.
I'm awfully sorry about your wife. And i agree that some cancer is(my mom's wasn't) avoidable, and i agree with most of your other points. But i still don't think my post was one of idiocy. Perhasp i should have worded it a bit differently. Maybe more money should go to education
a) Some cancer is avoidable(e.g. smoking) and some AIDS is not(tranfusion, material transmission to infants).
Ok you got me there. But cancer is most more common in these a cases.
b) Expecting people to avoid a disease by resiting the single most powerful biological instinct is stupid. It isn't going to happen. A medical treatment is the only hope.
Here is where i really disagree with you. Are people going to stop having sex, or do i think people should stop, absolutly not! What i do think is people need to stop taking home the first person they see home with them. Most people here know better than that. However people in Africa need to be educated and i do feel sorry for those people. As for the rest of your points i for the most part agree with. Its just i feel that precious research money could be better spent else where.
Sorry i lost my mom to cancer, so i get a little annoyed when i see lots of money getting spent on developing a cure for a disease that is avoidible. Instead of on horrible random disease like cancer.
To the mods sorry for the off topic post.
Just like the Early 20th Century European Countries??? Also Did we learn from the Second World War that taking the initiative against an obviously hostile dicator is a good idea. Oh thats right nobody opens a history book any more.

Plus if you made a screen out of yogurt you wouldn't know wether to watch it or lick it.
I honestly hope you never have to watch you mom slowly die a horrible slow death from cancer. If you had you might have a slightly different opinion.

There is a cure for AIDS, its called not sticking you wanker in every chick you come across. Although the cancer thing isn't a bad idea!
I'll put money on my Athlon 2000+ XP against your P4 2000 any day.
