I seriously doubt this will happen. Odds are that the technology invented for use in Soverign will be reused in EQ2, Planetside, EverQuest, SWG, and EQOA.
After all, where do you think EverQuest's new UI came from?
That Sony Online Entertainment, while owned by Sony, is not Sony. The connection there is not a very strong one, and while they get broad orders from Sony, they are not micromanaged from Sony.
My grilfriend is bucking for a post on the Constutition. I can assure you there are no plans to decom her any time soon.
