Firefly fans need not live alone, cowering and huddled in a corner, confused that one of the best shows on TV since Babylon 5 went to cable.
Now we can cower in front of our computer monitors, trying to make sense of it all:

How can I get DDR to work with my own music? The techno garbage is driving me nuts!

Not to knock the bloody-type diet as I haven't tried it, but a good naturopathic physician (http://www.naturopathic.org) could perhaps point you toward a treatment that works for you.

You mean DSM-IV, also known as the _Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders - Fourth Edition_ The fifth edition is currently being compiled.
As a former teenaged girl, I really enjoyed the Dragonlance series as well as Madeleine L'Engle's Wrinkle in Time series.
Esther Friesner edited two short story collections that I think a young woman would enjoy: Chicks in Chainmail and Did You Say Chicks?
I also recommend anything by Terry Pratchett. I recently read The Dark Is Rising, by Susan Cooper, a YA book, and I wish I had it when I was younger.

Actually, I enjoyed Nemesis, despite its many plot flaws:
- Wonderful seeing the actors breathe life into their characters, particularly Patrick Stewart, who got to ham it up.
- Tom Hardy, who plays Shinzon, is a bad guy worthy of the moustache-twirling baddies of old.
- Great ships. Loved the Remen Scimitar and its shuttle--and I'm not usually a hardware geek.
Pity about the zero-dimensional plot.
