Im not sure what version fo MSBlaster you "caught", but it wasnt designed to shutdown your computer randomly at all.
A worm like blaster itself is exactly one of the most extreme of cases of virii writted by some joe smoe in a basement dateless, but not truly understanding what he is doing.
Blaster, by effect, was desgined to ddos windowsupdate.com, and by the very fact that it was designed to do that(which is nothing but a redirect dns, not really affecting ms THAT badly due to this fact, which the writer was probably unaware of), and the fact that the buggy code in it caused the near random computer restarts, points directly to the fact that it is a buggy piece of code written by someone who themself didnt truly understand what they were doing.
"hey i wander what this would do.." type of thing to the extreme.
Also, being written to cause problems does not mean it will cause problems.
What caused more problems, MSBlaster or the Nachi variant designed to download the update and patch itself? I dont know about you but the Nachi caused MUCH more personal headaches then blaster ever did...
I have played extensively with gameboy from the first itteration to the current, and honestly, does sony expect to compete with that?
Look at Segas Game Gear way back when. Yea that thing was sweet as a system, but could it hold its own against a plain ol gameboy, even though better gphx, backlit, and color?
hell no, it got clobbered. Same with Nomad, and there the difference was even greater SYSTEM wise.
I look at this, and I see a cell phone. No raised buttons... I like the screen though.
I also like the integrated 802, meaning it will be easy to get a web browser on it:) If they release it to be competative with the GBA series price wise, I might pick one up just for the 802 support, whith the assumption that it will be hacked later(probably will wait for it though)

if you actually READ his poast(i know, something lacking in many comments...) you would notice that his portable MP3 player would only sync with a fat42 file system.
he wants all his mp3's on a 60gb hd
windows refused to let him install fat32 on that drive, so he was officially screwed in what he wanted to do.
Hm... I wander, what dvd player do you have? I have yet to find(personally) a decent dvd player that you couldnt easily take the region requirement off with simple "press this button then that button" execution.
The entire region encoding actually kind of pisses me off, whats the point? First thing i did when I bought my current player was to pull it off:-p
Actually, you are required to use the schools internet if your on campus.
bastards dont allow outside lines to come in, or else i would have dsl right now:-p(school network sucks for just about everythign including web browsing)
Hm... Interesting point, and i see your point, but as yet I dont quiet agree with the system here.
After all, what is different from the Internet than mail-order in that regard?
I honestly dont think mail order should be taxed either. I am more of a laise fair kind of guy. Is it really hurting the state govt if mail order and online orders are not taxed?
I dont think so, and consider it more of a "theres money to be made in dem dar hills" kinda thing.
Why I'm moving to Canadia:-p (jokeing btw but you get the point...)
They are trying to turn internet shopping into something similar to ordering out of a magazine...
I like ordering things online because you know your getting what you order(if you go to the right place) and its almost always cheaper, even if you include shipping costs.
This will wreck havoc on all of that though, take away the main advantage of online sellers...
Sigh, net may turn into place to buy specialty items, Best Buy or whatever for non obscure things. I find that kind of depressing really
x = fast food, y = fat content, z = time unites, p = metabolizm.
x * y - p * 3.14^z = weight gain
now, when this couch starts getting serious use it would look something like...
32 /.65 -.40 * 3.14^1u = much weight
Now... The metabolizm would possibly go up as well as the fat content go down if u could also order pr0n through the same means... that would be a new varialbe p0...
My unkle had his identity stolen 3 years ago, and that wasnt fun to go through:-p
He had a problem with his leg during a business trip, stopped off in some midwest town, and the hospital he stayed at somehow mishandled his information.
A bit later there were bills coming in from all over the place with no one knowing where from.
Its been 3 years, 2 years of fairly constant struggle, and to this day he still doesn't have it completely back, which is a frightening though if you ask me.
That easy to steal, and hes STILL not in the clear 3 years later? Scary though:-p
Such a mess:-p

But if you were to read the article, you would see thathe is asking for "free".
I was like "ooh this looks nice..."
and to notice that its basically just a 30 day trial... not free at all:-p
you would think wouldnt u. magic number:-p
What would the formula for that be though...?
.65 - .40 * 3.14^1u = much weight
x = fast food, y = fat content, z = time unites, p = metabolizm.
x * y - p * 3.14^z = weight gain

well, the goto i never learned cause its bad programming form, but the rest looks like bash:-D
Yes its only 2 dollars more, but you cant really play it in the car now can u?
I however, do see the point. Why buy a cd when you can get a dvd with everything the cd has for nearly the same price?
I myself, honestly, collect dvds. I Just enjoy having the movies and special features sitting there available to me.
Cds? I just dont use them enough i guese... mp3 cds can do the same but many times better... Why not use them?
less money to be made i guese:-p
At least theres luck for some people.
