As such, how many geeks need the isp to act as a firewall?

Solution? Simply have the isp be a firewall for a limited number of ports(ie 135) that are generally only used for attacks
For the poor geeks? Make it a one phone call affair to quote enquote dmz themself ahead of it, no hassle aside from initial firewall. Its not completely "open" still i suppose, but its not all geeks anymore either:-p
I may be confused here, and i am buy no means an expert, but what type of effect aside from impact oculd this asteroid have?
with a weight that high, passing that close to earth, how would it affect our tides due to the magnetic pull?br> i dont know about you, but it would suck to wake up and see a tsunami bearing down on me out the window....
anyone with a greater background in this field give some clarification on the chances plz? I consider this somethign worth considering and havnt seen amention of it anywhere in here:-p

A friend of mine graduated with solid marks via comp sci from a decent school a year and a half ago.
40+ interviews later, he just started school back up to pad his resume more as he has not had anyone express interest on the east coast.
Im not sure leaving what sounds to be a stable job in my opinoin would be prudent right now:-p In the 90s? Hell ya, but now?
Is simply lay out the time. Say, "Yes i will do it, once i have this done as well as this"
No need to say no, just show them that for you to say yes will require them to wait for it to get done an unreasonable amount of time.
They complain? Then you may get staffed correctly soon enough:-p
Your missing the point completely of the post... Michael had like 5 or 6 stories, non dupes(to my knowledge) submitted, all about microsoft. He could have posted them all, and the front page would have been spammed with all ms posts, which would kind of suck you think? This post was just a way to get them all out at once, because they are all news-worthy, but not all at theexact same time.
"There has been lots of news about MS in Slashodot" isnt the news, thats the reasoning for the combination post.

actually, I believe roman noodles to be one of the greatest foods of all time for college students.

Apartment per semester:2,000
Books:400
Food: 5 bucks a week +pizza money, ahhh
my dorm setup consists of a nux box, an xp laptop, 2 monitors, a 27 inch tv i can use as a spare monitor, and a shi tload of wires every where. oh, and then theres my roomates side...

For the uninformed, Custers Revenge is a game way back when that consisted of moving a cowboy across a deserst(the length of the screen) to ravage an indian woman tied to a cactus.

2 months till data is lost? Seems odd... Why would htey impliment such an item? would that not keep people from using it on the pure basis of, no matter how much they like it, having to change it to something elselater?
Or... are they going to make it upgradeable to pgp 8.0 directly from the beta? That would seem to me(in my grosly uninformed ignorance...) to lead to all kinds of stability isues.... unless the upgrade did nothing but take out the lock out? again....
