Anybody can point out some document saying what was the vote of each particular country - for all 25 of them? Everybody just mentions Denmark, Poland sometimes Portugal or Spain.
I listened to audio links on ffii.org... I appreciate the effort, but the information quality is low. 1st 5 minutes is just "test... another test... one more test..." and the rest gives again no insight on what actually happened.
The audio files from meeting in May 2004 were much more helpfull, thought I could not find out the position of all states in there either. Should not be there some written conclusion/minutes published after each European Comission/Council meeting?
Yes. I'm bitching. What else can I do? I can't afford to go there on my own, and the information provided is so so much stripped of facts that the only thing is left is the boolean value. Event that is not clear sometimes. Just try to find out the document ID of the damned directive.
Yes you do. I worked for company, that built a web site allowing customers to upload data, have that data processed and get the results back. At least 16 machines in a cluster - accessible over internet.
You say it will have problems because it is beta - well you have to wait for release date in April or May. Do you expect a project to not have a beta stage? ... and does not have database application?
In another words: when you take all the tools that come with Linux and bring them to Win XP, you get on Win XP the same productivity. Did I get it correctly?
Several answers were provided in other replies, but IMHO the major point is that you reduce the length of the input (probably large) docoument to fixed (small) size of 1st hash. Which makes it much easier to create a list of possible values for 2nd hash.
Uhm. And it never happened in your Windows instalaltion, right?
If it would happen. What would you do?
What did you do when it did not work out of the box? Drop the ball? What about purchasing RedHat and getting hotline support?
The issue with ATI is not problem of the OS and it's usability. It is problem of drivers supplied by HW manufacturer. Or not supplied in this case. You may say that you don't care. But if *you* don't care than HW manufacturer won't bother spending resources on Linux driver development.
Linux developers already asked for HW specs or better drivers, but their voice is not enough. We need your voice too.
Would you mind to explain what makes you think that Linux is not easy to use and what _specific_ actions should be taken to make it more 'easier to use'?
He's totally correct that pretty much all software (OSS included) makes this disclaimer,(about fitness)
Right. He says that nobody gives a guarantee that the SW will do its thing under any circumstances. The difference is that MS attempts to make an impression as though you would get the guarantee with them.
A better questions would be.
"Why didn't you add virus protection ten years ago."
The solution is not to built in a virus protection.
The solution is to built system that does not need it in first place. Would clamav or amavis exist if there were no outlook clients?
Troll. Whan I lanuch 'man find', the first line - the title(!) - says: "find - search for files in a directory hierarchy". Phew, that was difficult to spot.
Second: you are free to use search functions of konqueror or any other file manager you prefer. And it will do it without displaying the dog character mocking you.
Third: try to identify Windows command line utility for finding file on the disk given a pattern. Not to find text in files. Just find a file with name matching pattern. Good luck.
Finally, in another post someone complained how difficulut is to find information about setting up internet connection. I got it on 3rd hit. After running: man -k internet (nothing usefull), man -k connect (mentions pppoe.conf refering to adsl), man -k adsl (match!). But (again as mentioned in another post), all that is just a fallback solution if you downloaded the OS for free. If you are not cheap and purchase a comercial distribution(like you do with MS Win or OSX), you get a printed manual with screenshorts for setting up your internet connection. So what do you complain about again?
/release [Adapter]
Sends a DHCPRELEASE message to the DHCP server to release the current DHCP configuration and discard the IP address configuration for either all adapters (if an adapter is not specified) or for a specific adapter if the Adapter parameter is included. This parameter disables TCP/IP for adapters configured to obtain an IP address automatically.
I don't think it does what "ifconfig eth0 down" does in Linux.
The earth is truly nothing without you. If you kill yourselft, you would not care afterwards and most of us do not care even now. Why are you still here?

No offence. Actually I'll paste your comment into my blog probably. Hilarious.
It's a whole hell of a lot faster in Access than trying to get a damn word processor to do it for you if you're using a Linux-based solution.
Ever tried that? I did. I went to OO Writer document and picked Data Sources from menu. And I was able to connect to various types of databases, create queries and include fields into the document.
The only 'difficult' part was to make sure that my system knows what ODBC is - and that is because I wanted to get data from SQL database and I never needed it before and thus I did not have ODBC installed.

That is cluttered?
THIS is cluttered!

a question comes to my mind: can I claim every single byte separatelly?

Every 2 seconds somewhere in the world an idiot clicks an advert in a popup. What we need to do is to find him and shoot him in the head.

A chance.

Q: What car is the best?

Lucky you. I can.
... and they already manage to f*ck up election.
Using the word 'women' and 'suck' in the same sentence on /. - gee.
