Think about it. Even if you use ssh, it is using shared libraries that you can't trust to run on operating system that you can't trust possibly on hardware that you can't trust.

Using ssh is often usefull, but in this scenario it helps a little.

    1. if you talk to any teacher, he'll say that to improve his work he needs better tools - that translates to money. Lots of them. I live in a country where the education institutions suffer from having old buildings needing repair. Suffer from lack of teachers. The teachers that are there are over 50 years old. They do it beucase that's what they know and because they love to work with children. Younger teachers leave the job, because they can earn more nearly anywhere. Less than 20% of people educated to become teachers actually take that job. The rest just goes searching for something different when they see the paycheck offer. The biggest problem in education is the money. Specificaly the lack of it. I don't think it is different in your country.
    2. The school should teach children how to think. Kids should understand how things work. That is my idea of making a kid 'clever'. And to understand how things work you have to 'take it apart' and 'put it together again'. That is what makes FOSS and ideal choice. Being cheap is a bonus.

If I write in a blog I should reveal my sources of income? Your intention is to prevent political forces to influence blog content. That's fine. Perhaps. But should I be required to publish my financial situation if I'm just a single geek with no political group behind me? Whose job is to prove that nobody is behind me?

The TV stations in my country, are required to report neutrally and independently. Perhaps because they license the medium for broadcasting - "the radio waves" - from the state. But I'm publishing my opinions in my blog. I'm not using any medium owned by state. Should your suggestion be enforced on people who put up posters on street lamps? Or talking loud on street corner?

As some poster already pointed out, it is much better to live in society where you don't need the gun. If we are not there, we should work towards that. Thanks for answering.

Yesterday, on 7th of March there was a decission of European Council that the wording of the directive is approved by council. Although DK submited a written declaration. As you said DK, PL and PT formaly assked moving it to B-item list. Are you saying that they were ignored? Did the president of council just stand up and said: "The A-item list is approved." and nobody said a word? That would mean not only that the decission is handed over to non-elected group of people (the council) but to a single person. Hard to believe. The opinions of all member states have to be available somewhere. It is ridiculous that the detailed info is not published on front page of servers reporting about the event.

Btw, I'm glad to see that JURI has asked for a full documentation (including minutes, declarations and transcripts of the recordings) of what happened in the Council today. I pray to see this information published.
