Not enough power for serious data usage
Come off it... it may only be an 866Mhz processor, but what possible application are you going to run on a device like this that needs even that much power?
It runs office apps, it plays DVDs, it networks.
That is what it'll be used for - why over-spec it at cost to battery life, which is what the users REALLY need?
Does it really matter?
The fact that Passport server software will now run on (some of) the unices isn't really a cause for dismay; although it may speed uptake of Passport, it also removes another reason for a web service provider to use IIS.
Any company that really *wants* to run Passport WILL.
It's just a matter of what platform they run it on.
Actually, region encoding is optional. I support (Sony) DVD+RW drives for a living, and most of the software we supply isn't even capable of adding region encoding to a disc. It's generally only for "proper" DVDs.
Bit of a godsend this actually - the number of queries I get from people who've bought the wrong DVDs...
Correction: if you believe in correct pronunciation, it's pronounced "Jag-you-are". Any other form is an incorrect bastardisation of the word (should that read "Americanisation"?:-)
FYI, these kind of ads have been running on the red (M2) Metro line in Budapest, Hungary for many months now - since at least October 2001 when I moved there.
Kinda cool, but they look really low res in action.

not that it wasn't on its way down anyway.
Can't these people see the potential for robotic genitalia? :-)
Add some good feedback and you could be boning your g.f while you're 600 miles away!
Chapter support, transitions, some other cool stuff. OK interface (v4 at least).
Supplied with some models of Sony DVD burner.
(Note - I work for Sony tech support)
