You must be using a really crappy card issuer. I've had my cards comprised and all I have to do is give them a call that takes at most 2 minutes(or it can be done through the website) and they always eat any unauthorized transactions and send out a new card Next day air. So there is zero risk and I end up with thousands of dollars in points every year that I wouldn't get with a prepaid card also I can use my card to rent cars and other things that can't be done with a prepaid card.

This complaint system is useless since they are spoofing and AT&T and I suspect other phone companies refuse to give ANI information to non-business accounts(they claim its the law but when pressed can't explain how they provide the same "illegal" ANI data to business customers on their monthly bills. I suspect that their motivation is that they profit off of the scammer/spammer calls in some way.). So all you end up doing is submitting a complaint with some random guys phone number. As an example lately in my area the "Card Services" caller has been spoofing CLID using a prefix that has ATT cell phones.

10G coming down in price? We're starting to get 40G pretty commonly now. I think the cards can be had for around 1k or less. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing some 100G or a weird intermediate speed. With RoCE Ethernet is starting to be a viable alternative for MPI/RDMA instead of Infiniband and 40G switchports are amazingly cheap and can be broken into 4x10G interfaces to support legacy 10G server

In my old a4 3.2 it definitely went into safe mode on bad gas. In my newer s5 4.2 I haven't seen this but I suspect bad gas would do it. The dealership said this was a protective mechanism when I asked. So possibly just in the more modern cars running at higher compression ratios.

Audi's go into safe mode if you put the wrong gas in them. This mode retards the timing and makes the car generally drive like crap and on turbo models it severely limits the boost.
