While that is the common wisdom it is basically untrue. The most expensive component of any fast food beverage is
The cup at $.06-$.08 each.
The syrup used for the beverage costs $.01-$.02 and the ice costs about the same. The overall cost of the equipment to deliver and mix the syrup obviously is fairly large, but is a sunk fixed cost and maintenence is time, not usage dependant.
Last I heard, most of these countries have per minute phone service, and bandwidth usuage caps as low as 6G per month. Also, in the US, High speed internet is considered a luxury. Of course, I also know of people who spend $100(US)+ but the extra $25-30 for Internet is too much.
Further, I'd love to hear your ideas on ensuring food distribution across the undeveloped/developing segments of the world without using guns or bombs to protect the food and the hungry from the local warlords.
And the truck convoys that he moved from restricted areas just prior to making them unrestricted were just a coincidence? Or was he perhaps running a giant bluff and making his words appear to be lies? We know today that he almost certainly didn't have WMDs anymore, but if I have a hand behind my back, and tell you I don't have a knife, but always keep at least one hand behind my back the reasonable determination is that you still have the knife.
Search everywhere I own control or have access to I'll provide you keys and pay for an independant observer to make sure you don't make off with my MP3s.
Perhaps you don't remember how this war started. Let me refresh you memory. He invaded Kuwait and threatened to invade Saudi Arabia. From there, he proceeded for 10 years to violate the terms of the temporary cease fire by failing to prove that he had destroyed his WMDs and by firing on Allied aircraft patrolling the border areas.
Let's see, he was on a ZENITH, using assumedly a CUSTOM APL line editor(like ed or edlin) I fail to see where you find inaccuracies, since I've seen APL on a ZENITH.

While I am anti-patent as the next guy, it can't have been that obvious or pre-paid cellular service would have taken off sooner.

Ah. I hadn't realized we needed to stop bombing homeless people.
What makes it ridiculous? Or are you suggesting that he didn't make the offer?
or are you taking issue with "anyone" vs " any video game company"??
A modest video game proposal
It was the Same Ice-T that plays a cop on L&O: SVU.
Amazingly enough, the US government is also riddled with these US agents you speak of. Perhaps they were sharing information.
It means that He offered $10k to charity if anyone who would develop some ridiculous murder spree game. It also means you don't read Slashdot all that often.

Well, the tires on my hyundai are 99.9% similar to the tires on your Honda, they must have evolved. Or perhaps design was involved.
IF this war was about oil(and it isn't) our oil costs and prices would be lower today than 2 years ago at this time.

We didn't call it off, we put it on hold. When the justification for keeping it on hold wore thin, we picked it back up.

I much prefer to wash my hands at the sink, but I guess in MD you do things differently.
