And "proper statistical studies" show that for every person who joins the PTV, writes the FCC, or writes to his congresscritter, 100 don't because they are too lazy or bored or busy. So they see 10million complaints and assume(rightly or wrongly) that ~100Million are or could be offended.

Public radio is censored for talking about homosexuality?
People can't talk about sex education on TV?
AND that is why Howard stern was fined and Oprah wasn't. Is it a potentially slippery slope sure, but the line has been drawn between titilation and education and needs to be enforced. If PBS shows an educational video graphically detailing and demonstrating safe condom use I'll change the channel, if CBS shows debbie does dallas, I'll complain.

If that is/was your attitude, then you didn't belong in the class. You should have dropped it, in fact, I'm not certain you belong on slashdot. IN FACT, you are the sort of person being talked about in the article.

Being able to spend 10 minutes on a math or logic problem builds the mental pathways... THAT is why it is important. Knowing how it's done, at that level is more important than getting the right answer. You don't have to know why 2+2=4, you do need to know why f(4)=7 and f(7)=4.

Welcome the the world of MMORPGs.. Everyone with staying power does it.

    EITHER
    A) buy each new expansion for $19-$29 OR
    B) wait 18 months or so and buy the special combo pack with the original+ last 3(6/9/etc)expansions for $19-$25.
    C) get a free "buddy" key that includes all current expansions to "share" with a "friend"

Playing on the bleeding edge is expensive. Waiting a while is cheaper... Eventually Doom3 will be $19.95 and I'll buy it. Or it will be included free with my subscription to PCGamer.
