    I like McCain-Rice, in either combination, I agree that the US is "ready" for a female and/or african american in the white house, and I think the republican party can put one there. I don't think Hilary can make it to the white house, I think she could win the primaries, but not the general election.

    So he voted for a version of the bill that would make every accusation made by the democrats and other liberals against the Republicans true... ie, this war is just about squeezing free oil out of Iraq and about making money, NOT about trying to determine the truth about the WMDs, eliminating an enemy we have been fighting for over 10 years and freeing the Iraqi people from tyranny.

    You will see more "civilian contractors" dying. Fortunately(or not) "civilian contractors" aren't "our boys in uniform" so their deaths aren't necessarily as impactful to the American public, for some reason the American public cares much more for professional Soldiers than for Professional soldiers. good, bad, I don't know, but mercenaries are making upwards of 100k a year.

    In answer to number 1, the rest is irrelavent.

    The LP would easily be 3 times the size of the greens if they would boot the anarchists, and strengthen(as in clarify) their position on national security.
    I work with someone who I disagree on just about everything except governmental size. and those are the reasons I hear time and again ... I know anecdotal, but seriously the anarchists(even the sane ones) scare most people so they turn to the democrats or republican who aren't as scary.

    Odd, since 9/11 I haven't encountered an installation that didn't screen visitors.

    The level of screening is fairly consistent, a. what's your business, b. who's your sponsor(someone on the installation who will vouch for your business) c. who are you.

    We already provide sufficient food to feed the entire third world, and between government and private charity aid provide sufficient medical care to extend lifespans, the reason people starve in the world today is purely political, the "leaders" of their nations refuse, misappropriate, or destroy the aid offered or provided.

    the only way to ensure those children eat is military force, and we(the civilized world and the US in particular) lack the will, motivation or desire to do this, primarily because of the shackles and chains placed on our actions in places like somalia.

    Well, your technology job got outsourced to INDIA for the same reason the southeast and midwest have more Technology oportunities than they can fill. Nobody is worth $150K for doing basic software development or maintenance, Yes, there are several hundred(worldwide) software engineers that are worth every penny of the $250K they earn, for the rest, 55-65k is the max value and when you can pay an indian 25 in india or 45 in cleveland, and the american in cleveland wants 95, you take the indian. There is a place between feast and famine.

    And if you looked at the requirements for SEI CMM, or ISO 9000 or any other "certification Level" you discover that what you are getting is "certification" that you have documentation for your "process" and that your process matches the documentation. Your peer review process could be toss the document into a pile of pig manure and the pages that don't have feces are good, the others need work, the process will be accepted as long as each desk or team has a pig pen.

    There should be a tax benefit for those who choose to provide for children in the context of a "family" whatever the context of that family.

    OF course this would require simplifying the tax code to allow for more than 2 "primary" wage earners and "heads of household".

    Note that that is a nice buzz, but you can hallucinate from too much caffiene, and no not the fun kind. Large quantities of caffiene, ie multiple liters of mt dew(6+) over the course of less than an hour or so.. I was coding and lost count until I noticed I had consumed a six pack and a half of dew 24 oz bottles(a weeks supply normally) between 2:30 and 4:00. I observed slurred speech, auditory and visual hallucinations, and a splitting headache to boot. Now I make sure I don't have more available than I can/should drink at a sitting.

    The package, last I checked contains a very thorough graphical step by step procedure on a foldout and on the box. You can't get the condoms out without the usage instructions coming too. It was quite interesting to find a multilingual instructional guide along with my condoms the first time I purchased them. Of course the condoms given out at school, in my school we blew them up and threw them at each other, didn't have an instruction book. Perhaps we should stop handing them out in school.

    Why should I wonder what it will be like with someone else, it's wonderful, and has been for 3 years. I see no reason for that to change. Go look at the disease and pregnancy statistics, the National health produced ones, last article I saw, said they were highest in the world and rising.

    No, you tell them "just say no" and then explain to them why and how not saying no can ruin their lives. I'm not proposing DARE style exageration or lying, just straight facts, some stories maybe a testimonial or two. some videos, and the truth about how effective condoms aren't when used by teenagers. That's all. no more no less. ANd I've never suggested an abstinence alone approach, simply an abstinence based/focused approach.

    Ok, so you spend 5(forgetable) minutes on abstinence and 29:55 hours(thats a 6 week term) on condoms and birth control, and expect an impact.

    How about we spend 27 hours on abstinence and its benefits and the risks of unprotected sex and 3 hours on a survey of the various birth control methods and how to find them at the supermarket... Oh and if you need to know more, read the insert, it gives instructions.

    Simple enough, the contract today(traditional marriage) includes an implied support agreement.

    A civil union contract would of necessity include a detailed support agreement listing responsibilities and priviledges.

    I too speak of those who can afford the help. for over 10 years of my life my Primary physician was whoever was available at the "free" clinic.

    Besides the "free" option is the other "free" option, no hospital in this country can refuse service for lack of ability to pay.

    The only group in this country who consistently do not recieve adequate or better care are the working lower middle class who make between 25-38k annually and are not insured by their employer.
