Each window pane has a motorised banner scroller behind it. The banners run verticaly and have a different window sized section of the full image printed on them.
When they want to change the image, the banner behind every window scrolls up or down one frame, thus changing the whole image.
Filevault uses the same method. It creates a encrypted growable sparse disk image that is mounted upon logon as your home directory. diskutil can recover space in these images just as filevault does and i'm willing to bet that all filevault is doing is passing commands to diskutil to do the work.
Of course they are an improvement. Consider that any 16 yr old can get a drivers license by driving round the block a few times at 25mph and you wonder why people don't know how to give way on a rotary.
No wonder people run red lights here, I'm sick of sitting at red lights also.
If they replaced every intersection with a traffic circle, traffic would flow much better.
The only problem would be that americans would need to be taught how to drive first.
I hate slide out drawers. They're not intuitive at all. They're eye candy based. That's my main gripe with Camino -- bookmarks and history have to be accessed from a side drawer.
The side drawer in Camino is gone now. Check the nightly build.
It's easy to do. NYC is abundant with BSOD's. :) Time's square, Macy's and all those Taxi Cabs with the screens on top of them.
That's not a display.

Take a look at SubEthaEdit or even try the apple Xcode tools.

I've never heard of this. Care to back it up?

Using HotSync or iSync. I believe the duplicate entries are down to whatever syncing software you use.
I would sync to a third portable device like a palm or a cell phone and use that to transfer the data.
