I was under the impression the DRM *was* Digital Restrictions Management, and the phrase "Digital Rights Management" was the "spin phrase".
A positive side-effect of these bullshit labels (Rights Management, Trusted Computing, etc) is that you *immediately* know you're being lied to. For example, if the word "Smart" is part of a product name, that immediately sets off my bullshit detector. Nice labelling tactic.
Disgusting.
I see a lot of posters referring to instances of stealing, and even piracy, of all things.
To quote a favorite/. meme:
"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means"
Seriously. I make it a point to correct people who confuse piracy and stealing with copyright infringement. Why people insist on the propagation of misinformation mystifies me. What are your motives?
How, exactly, does the article have anything whatsoever to do with piracy?
...
Oh, sorry... I forgot that mp3s automatically lead to piracy, as does cd copying....
That is correct. MP3 is what is known as a "gateway format". Sure, it seems harmless enough. At first.
Before you know it, you're using "harder" formats, such as.mov,.mpeg,.avi. Every day. In the morning. By yourself. And we all know where that road leads.
Trust in th **AA. They really do know what's best.
>>and didn't have to access the assorted things that the regulars had to use.
Please use the correct terminology when referring to "normals" Thank you.

That's great and all Caesar, but perhaps you should email the mods instead of airing your business in a public forum?
Maybe it's just me, but in my business, when a supplier, vendor, competitor, or business partner steps out of line, I contact them directly.
I seem to get better results that way than opposed to, say, posting to a public forum on a global network.
