Luxembourg - The Danish manufacturer will have to swallow hard as the European Court of Justice decided on Wednesday that anyone may produce a block which fits on the original Lego block. Lego went to the European Court of Justice in a battle against the Canadian competitor Mega Brands who have brought a block to market which fits to those of Lego. The Court decided today that the design of Lego is not protected by European trademarks and that there can be no exclusive rights. The rest of the article is historical information about Lego.

Take a look at National Geographic April 2006. All forms of energy produce some CO2, but nuclear prodces the least per kilowatt hour of electricity. Wind is worse by a factor of three, and hydro is almost as bad as fossils. And if you are wondering how wind produces so much CO2, consider the amount of concrete required per pylon.

The Sinclair SX Spectrum had a program called Vu-Calc from Psion. It was the first program I used to deal with numbers and data. There were also planning programs and ways to create documents. and the adventure games like The Hobbit were cool. I would rather have my children learning about computers with a Spectrum than anything from Microslop, but the schools have been offered 'discounts' so they don't consider anything else.

  6. What's wrong with TMI? on Toshiba Pushes Safe, Small Nuclear Reactor Design · · Score: 4, Interesting

TMI is a great advert for nuclear power! Everything that could go wrong went wrong, and the operators made mistakes. The core melted, but no-one was killed or injured. The same can not be said about coal mining disasters, Bhopal (a chemical plant in India which exploded) or oil rig accidents. If you have a social conscience you will support nuclear power. Other energy industries regularly kill its employees and members of the public. Alaska suffered terrible environmental damage when Exxon Valdez crashed. To prevent that happening again we need to embrace clean new clear power!

"clean, geothermal energy" is due to the natural radio-active decay of isotopes of uranium and thorium. It is good to see that this is finally being considered as a clean source of energy.
