I run Quake III @ 90 fps and UT 2K3 @ 80 fps at 1024x768. I can't imagine needing a faster machine for today's games. Running the Doom III Demo, I got a whopping 5 fps. Now, when that comes out, I may decide to upgrade to a 4200. But, I simply refuse to drop $300+ on a freakin video card. That's simply ridiculous.
Microsoft should work with those interested in using their device to do other things than play video games. For once there is actual geek intrest in a Microsoft product (a hardware one at that), and especially interesting is there is intrest from the Linux community. This is their chance to make some bucks of the people they fear are going to run them into the ground. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
I hope you're not serious with this statement. First, why should MS support the loading of Linux on their product - a product that MS only makes money if games are sold? Should MS sell a Linux version of the XBox for $500 since it won't be used for gaming?
I'm all for the protection of American rights - it's what this country is founded on and makes our country the best on the planet. But, where does one draw the line?
Zacharious(sp) - the 12th hijacker - was detained in Detroit days prior to Sept 11th. He had a laptop that the FBI wanted to analyze but was denied request by the courts. This may have provided the necessary info the prevent these horrible attacks. The government must have the ability to perform necessary intelligence activities to provide adequate protection.
