Dearest Dr. Kadiri Musa, What information about me have you gathered from the Foreign Trade Office of the Nigerian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and how did it convince you that I would be in a position to help you? Verify your identity with a scan of your photo I.D., then I'll call "the above" fax or telephone numbers which you neglected to provide.
I'm planning a BANANA CHAN script, for early next year, in which Banana gets a "Nigerian E-mail", believes the story, but doesn't fall victim -- instead, she ends up saving the lives of Nigerian Royalty, and she gets extremely rich from the "transfer of monies";)
As a provider of free content on the internet myself -- not usually computer programs, though -- I agree with you that programmers, and anyone who provides any free content, deserve recognition. Free materials on the internet are usually high quality. They're free because it's the author's passion to create it, be it a computer program, or a series of unproduced television scripts. Anyone who makes free content, does it out of passion. That passion makes quality products, and encouraging publicity of the author's names will encourage productivity from that author.
My opinion about the court-win being great for all us benefitters from P2P services is below everyone's threshold; thus my opinion doesn't matter, but my opinion is that this is great news!
Granted their offerings are limited, but they show GOLDEN BOY which is a VERY HILARIOUS ANIME! If more people see good shows like that, they'll get addicted to anime, and life will be perfect! The BANANA CHAN site got into the action with a thingy at the top of the screen begging people to subscribe to The Anime Network.
Sir, I fully agree with CmdrTaco that the Anime Network should be carried by EVERY cable system. If you're close-minded to the benefits of quality cartoons being broadcast in North America, then I truly feel sorry for the people who are influenced by your opinions, sir.
I don't understand your final sentence; however, I get the jist of your post. My opinion is that Spaf would hate people like me, because I currently have bad karma on Slashdot. My posts are usually ego-driven tripe about my web-site, thus my posts usually contribute little to the conversation. I'm trying to change, though, and I hope Spaf is somewhere proud of me when I do.
I just watched the telnet version of it -- if you search for "ascii movie" on google, you'll find it. It seems to be the only full-length ascii movie out there. Gee, I wonder why;) Next thing I wanna see is the ancient japanese art form known as ASCIIme!
Star Wars is gonna be on TBS thus Sunday. (TBS is a TV channel...) Episode four's good, but I think I'll watch Enterprise instead. STAR TREK's the shiznit, wheras STAR WARS is... well, good too.
I didn't make the drawings, and they're great. And how can you have read it in just an hour? There's thirteen scripts -- I'm assuming that you just read the comic which doesn't even tell the story of the first quarter of the first script -- that's about what you had time for between the post and your reply. In other words, you're mocking something that you didn't even get to know. That's not cool, man. You're not cool.
I nominate my web-site for a WEBBY, because I bet no one's ever done what I'm doing: writing an entire seventy-four episode television series, and posting the scripts to the internet, without knowing if the scripts will ever get produced or not. People have posted pilot scripts for original TV series' to the internet before, but has any ONE PERSON ever written an entire seventy-four episode TV series, and posted all the scripts to the internet without knowing if they'll ever be produced? I'm posting them on a schedule, so there's currently only thirteen episodic scripts on my site, but there will be seventy four when I've finished the project. If I don't win a webby, I should at least get mentioned in the guiness book under the category BIGGEST SHOJO GEEK.
I read the words "opportunity for", and the words "self-righteous post"; thus, it's somewhat appropriate for props to be given regarding my l33t slillz in the art of teleplay writing. BANANA CHAN is a virtual television series whose scripts are posted to the internet in television season schedules. Season one is completely scripted, using software called SOPHOCLES which helps me to write proper-length scripts in television format. If you read the first season, at the web-site, you'll see that it's a really awesome sci-fi/fantasy about the effects of a single wish... Be careful what you wish for, especially when your wish is "I wish there were no more poor people." Anyway, read the series, and you'll know what I mean about how cool it is. And when you're done, tell me what skillz I got for monster.ca to list, eh?

Many people attempt to raise awareness of topics which are important to them by posting articles to Slashdot. Many true (non-fiction) articles are submitted each day, and then some clown posts fiction about a gnome, and it gets accepted as an official article. GAH, I say GAH! Then I say GOO GOO GAH GAH! Now, I say WAAH-HAH-HAH-WAAH! I want my bah-bah.
No, elvis was a rebel, and an action taker. He'd take the rebellious action of throwing free burned CDs of competing superstars to vast crowds of cheering things.
Darn it! They shouldn't create that flicker, because what if some of the more sensitive of us DO notice it while watching movies in the theatre? What if we don't notice it, but it gives us an unexplainable headache which renders movie theatres unbearable, thus useless to a small percentage of people who previously enjoyed films? If they ever make a movie of the first five of my BANANA CHAN tv scripts, I don't want that flicker, because it'd render the movie unwatchable to a large extent of people who can only afford to watch bootlegged movies! -- that's not a point made in good morals, I know, but the Dreamcast version of SHENMUE 2 wouldn't have been able to be played by me, due to my financial situation, if it weren't for pirates whom I'm sometimes acquainted with; therefore, piracy is the poor world's primary source of cool literature, such as movies and video games, err...again, not a point made in good morals...or is it? I guess my main point, which isn't in
god morals is: I've never pirated a movie before, and it'd be a shame to have the opportunity taken away before I get a video camera...maybe I should just shut up, eh? It's my birthday, so don't arrest me for my counter-culture opinions:)
The notes feature, and the slideshow feature, sound good. If I had that browser, I'd no longer need to open notepad in a separate window for note-taking. And I'd no longer need to download pics and use them in IrfanView for slideshow. Keep up the good work, browser makers! Call me old fashoned, but I still like LYNX.
My God, you're right, I should have read the article before commenting. I think that's horrible that scripts are made because of hype, often before people even read the scripts. The fact that my scripts are good (people have agreed) means that they probably won't get produced...
Is a goatse redirect when someone posts a link to their site which they think is on topic, but someone else doesn't think it's on topic? I think my site fits into this topic because the first five scripts on my site can combine to form an entire movie script. And those Elite hollywood message boards should take notice of my site because the scripts are ABOVE AVERAGE QUALITY!

This is great news! -- Card's getting more and more into the video game business with each passing day. Soon we'll hopefully get to play ENDER'S GAME!
Hey! I like Jar-Jar! Hmm...if the japanese made this Star Wars ASCII animation, would we call it ASCIIme?
Yeah, I agree. It's strangely ironic that rules from a dictator are overthrown by someone from the RIAA -- I guess that was the point of the story ;)

Remember: an HDTV camcorder is useless without an HDTV.

I run a comic called Banana Chan. It's not nerdy...yet...but I had to mention it.
There are many valid reasons for using LYNX. I dial-into LYNX with a 286, and that's MY valid reason. I'm sure there's more valid reasons :)

Blacklisting people hurts their feelings, so don't blacklist anyone, especially me, please!
