MP3 is a lossy codec, though. A trained ear can hear the difference between a CD and an MP3 quite easily, and once somebody's pointed it out to you, you'll notice a big difference between an analog source and a digital source. You do need high end hi fi equipment to hear the difference, but when you're in that range, you won't ever want to go back to digital.
So I need a trained ear, someone to point it out, and high end equipment just to hear how much my CD collection sucks? When you put it that way... I'd rather remain ignorant.
Go ask average consumers about DRM, see how many of them actually know what it is. DRM might have pushed some of the early adopters away but right now, the biggest hurdle for Bluray to overcome is that there's no motivation to drop DVD.
That's exactly it. CDs were a major improvement over cassette tapes and DVDs were a major improvement over VHS, no more rewinding and they took up way less space, so there was a compelling reason to switch. Now the motivation is gone; the form factor is the same, the picture isn't that much better, and Bluray players and discs are still relatively expensive compared to DVDs.
I use them as fridge magnets. I've even made a few clocks with the platters, it's a fun project to teach the kids that just because something is useless for its original purpose it doesn't mean you can't use it for something else.
Maybe that option only appears for certain "special" domain names, or "special" searches?
You have to be logged in to use the feature and you must have visited the site at least once through a search, the option to block the offending site comes if it shows up again through a different search. There's also the option to block URLs manually under search settings, which is what I recommend.
Sometimes I wish I was born 500+ years from now so I could actually be able to explore these strange worlds with my own eyes.
Sadly, you'd be just like you are now. Ignoring (or undervaluing) the fact that you've got access to explore strange words that people 500 years ago could only dream about.
If those people 500 years ago weren't dreaming about what's normal for us now I doubt he'd be able to dream about something so amazing now. It's the fact that we keep looking forward that makes all this "impossible" stuff happen.
Many people run Chrome, right? It might not make much of a difference if a small percentage of a website's users are running Chrome but I wouldn't be surprised to see the other major browsers implement something similar.
Neither TFA nor TFS say it infects Linux, though it sure reads like that at first, it actually says a patch will be available for Windows, MacOS X and Linux. It's probably minimal effort to plug the hole in all of them at once.
Other kids tell my kids what to think too but I taught them to think for themselves. Children aren't stupid, they're just ignorant; if you teach them critical thinking skills they will use them.
I think that's highly unlikely. Some people are just too shy to be themselves around others but they're effectively a different person on the Internet, if and when you meet those people you're not exactly getting what's described on the tin. Hell, I've done live meetups with people from a few forums and some of the biggest assholes online were actually kind of fun in person.
What type of text files do you write that take up 20 MB?
Directory listing of his porn stash.
Based on TFA, and even TFS, it would be more accurate to say they've found a novel way to use the wheel.
So far they're just talking a good game but I'll be the first in line to say what you said if/when they pull this off.

or stop the silliness where an idea is considered an invention.
Good idea, you should patent that!
Apples 1984 commercial was the first thing I thought of as well. The irony is almost too much to bear.
And people wonder why all my DVD cases are filled with copies instead of originals.
One could argue that with regards to this article, the Googles do nothing.
The data is then sold to marketers to come up with better ways to do product placement inside the shows.
I can save them a lot of money then. If you need to zoom in on a logo or shoehorn your brand name into the dialog you're doing it wrong.
Why has BlueRay failed to catch on ? DRM.

The best thing is that when they check the time they are also getting an eyeful of porn.
Brilliant. I'm saving that one for my son's wedding speech!

however, not once, in years, have i seen "experts exchange" written in such a way in your post that it makes me think "expert sex change"
Fun fact: it used to be expertsexchange.com, they changed it to experts-exchange.com because of that little issue.

Yeah, but thanks to inflation, bottle caps are practically worthless right now.
and some unscrupulous bad guys is posting the news as it happens
... and the same bad guys is inserting bad grammar in my posts.
Actually, I've just been drugging your coffee. The net effect is the same though.
And what's wrong with the name!
Just in case you're serious: here. It's hard to recommend this software without the need to explain it really has nothing to do with bondage.
Shouldn't we be developing AI to use two?
Why? One camera is cheaper to purchase and maintain than two and this software seems to do just fine with one.

Demolition Man is an old movie? Jeez, I should probably be telling kids to get off my lawn then....
"But there's just one thing I wanna know... How's that damn three seashell thing work?"
