THe Xbox 360 was designed with hdmi in mind. If I can refer you to http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=319&prod ucts_id=8540 they have a place holder for an official Microsoft HDMI cable for the 360 to be shipped sometime this fall with the release of the HD-DVD add-on. While they may release a newer version of the xbox 360 the older ones will still work just fine.
"One blog, Groklaw, exists primarily to bash software maker SCOGroup in its Linux patent lawsuit against IBM, producing laughably biased, pro-IBMcoverage; its origins are a mystery (see box, p. 136)."
WTF is this guy really to be taken seriously?
It's even more staggered than that...25,000 random machines get access to it on Win Update on the first day. And so long as their support lines don't triple in volume they'll release it to 50,000 machines on the second day. and they'll keep going like that until they fully release it. Sometimes Microsoft is smart...well ok every time hell freezes over but it's must be damn cold down there now...
Well lets see Time Warner Cable in New York City, for digital cable its 10 bucks a month, plus the service package(mine is the ultimate cuz I got internet too). total bill is like 130 a month but for that i've got 200+ channels, HBO,SHOWTIME,Cinemax on demand plus 200 or so movies to "rent" for 24 hours all in high quality signals plus this month they are releasing a PVR that will hold stuff indefinately so yea i think disney is coming a little late to the party but i applaud their effort but the delivery method is a little suspect especially since Dotcast's website claims it can transmit more data in one day then a user could use in a month? well what about 50 users or hell a hundred.?
That's not so bad my university shut off everyones access and then sent a tech to each person's computer to scan then patch it. only after that did they turn back on ur web access but only urs they had to repeat this step about 3500 times before the entire net was back up.
Since SCO is so small why doesn't IBM just buy'em out. They've got around 135 million in market cap and IBM's got about 145 billion so instead of dropping 20 mil or so on legal fees and years of exchanging threats and then paying some sort of settlement to get them to shut up. it would cost more to pay the 3 billion they want then to buy the entire company through a hostile takeover.
