Don't know if this has already been mentioned or if you've already read them but the Dragon Knight series by Gordon R. Dickson. I love them all.
1. The Dragon and the George
2. The Dragon Knight
3. The Dragon on the Border
4. The Dragon at War
5. The Dragon, The Earl and the Troll
6. The Dragon and the Djinn
7. The Dragon & the Gnarley King
8. The Dragon In Lyonesse
9. The Dragon and the Fair Maid of Kent
The author died a couple years ago so no more to this series.
I don't see this as being such a huge benefit. A majority of crashes will occur shortly after takeoff or shortly before landing which would make a paraschute needless because it couldn't deploy in time to catch enough air. Nevertheless, if it works at least once in an emergency situation, it is still a benefit.
It's a very captivating article, a nice "Where Are Now" piece. Unfortunately, five years from now, I'd look at this article the same way I look at the game of pong. It's unimaginable what will be possible then.
This post deserves a 6, Funny! (I know it only goes up to 5 but it's that funny) I've heard the ads that have the same kind of script, funny as hell, man.

...would this "image" of my brain remember for me that I had an "image" of my brain taken in case I forget that I did it and defeat its own purpose?
Now I should only have to uninstall a single IM client when I service the computers for my workplace!
...pay me the 10 bil and I'll e-mail you a link to /. There'll you'll find what will happen with you're new strategy before it's even implemented.

Apparently nobody "cares a lot for" the Dr. Suess/SuSe reference.
In this version of SuSE, they kept Horton and he still hears a Who. The fish count was also corrected, there is now a red one and a blue one.
