    You're doing the wrong math, read my post again. I said the PBG4 weighs 9.1lbs LESS than the other one, menaing the PBG4 weighs 6.9lbs. wow simple math really gets to some people.

    Not even close...the very first Mac Portable weighed in at 16lbs, as it was designed under the same principal: make a portable desktop Mac. After that first beast, the PowerBook line came out and they weighed much less.

    Why not get a 17" PowerBook G4, it only weighs 9.1lbs less... You could lug around two PBG4's and it would still weigh less than that abomintion

    what does taking physics have to do with it? If both comets were on certain trajectories and collided while going in the same direction, it could be possible to form one larger comet.... Now the probability of this is pretty much zero, but it is possible...

    Overwhelming sappy special-effects movies...

    Hmm...sounds kinda like the LotR trilogy...It's:
    extremely overwhelming - sitting in the theatre that long hurts
    sappier than it should have been - it was overly romanticized
    filled with special effects - key characters were entirely special effects

    I think it was really the trilogy that cleared the Oscars this year. Of course it was all saved for the last movie since it couldn't go as one big piece, but that makes sense... It wouldn't win as a standalone cuz it wouldn't make any sense unless you had read the other two book before seeing it...

    No, actually you buy any FireWire enabled (read as "recent") DV cam, plug it into your Mac's FireWire port, open iMovie or Final Cut and it just works....no drivers...no bullshit...

    You don't need drivers, get out of your Wintel state of mind. You plug the camera into your Mac via FireWire, open up a video editing program (iMovie/Final Cut) and it just works.
