All the PC's that I have run 1.3 on stopped getting updates many many months ago. 1.4 got 2 updates in the last month IIRC. Also the number of malmare detected by 1.4 is alot higher. It's upto about 30,000 when doing the full scan. Perhaps file a bug report with the author if you have UI problems with the latest version. The beta / RC versions of 1.4 had quite a few issues.

Updates for versions prior to Spybot 1.4 are not available anymore. Uninstall and download the very latest version. Updates are very frequent now with 1.4.
For instance, you don't have to search the whole of China to prove that a being that is both infinitely merciful and infinitely just doesn't exist. You can prove that it doesn't exist, by definition, just as you can prove that a square-shaped circle does not exist.
When you're ready, I'd like to see this proof that said being does not exist.
Is calling somebody a "jew" supposed to be an insult or something in your book? If ones calls a human a "human", or an american an "american", isn't this just simply stating the obvious? Calling a person who isn't a jew, a "jew", simply because they find anti-semitic comments offensive, would be an ignorant and silly thing to do. "Human", "american", "chinese" and "jew", neither of these are insults.
I had a look through the vendors website - I can't see anywhere that I can download the distribution from.
Does this mean that they are violating the GPL - and if so can they be sued (selling to the military makes them a rich target);-)
Nope. Anyone who they sell/give/distribute the GPL software to must be able to receive the GPL source code at no/minimal cost, should they want it. It does not mean that the software or source code has to be made publically available for all and sundry, who never obtained GPL software from them. They are in their rights to make available CDs of the source code to customers who obtained the software, should they choose to want the code, instead of public download. What the customers do with the code from there is up to them, as long as they in turn honour the GPL obligations.

There's your problem. I have had nightmares upgrading from one SuSE release to another, requiring a re-install every time. SuSE tends to break itself very easily. But never had such problems with a well tested distribution like Debian GNU/Linux 'stable'.
LibraNet is a Debian clone that has a very nice added administration package, and also can install Nvidia drivers off the CD. (Granted that most commercial distributions can do that, but a bog-standard Debian Sarge can't, and as a result my screen displays at unacceptably low resolution.

I had no problems with Air Sea Battle on my old 2600 over 20 years ago. Was a great game and never crashed once. Great multiplayer game indeed. My problem was that the joysticks wore out real fast.
... a popup on my desktop this morning said "Special Offer". Turns out Nero 6 OEM now has pop-up adverts for their own products! How rude is that! No freakin' way would I use an ad-supported Windows version. I would rather delete my Windows partitions off both my dual-boot machines.

Surely the Sony crapware cannot install device drivers/filters or patch the kernel on the fly if users are not 'administrators'? How many business let their staff run as 'administrator'?
