... but can't say I'm not disappointed either. Rather anxious for this release. All I can say for certain is that I'm really hoping that it's a polished release... last thing we need is another Warhammer release. Amirite?
There's the same ol' same ol' in most of those.... They point at "more power", well duh. Of course systems are going to get more and more powerful, otherwise I'd wait for things to come out still on my good ol' Atari 2600.
What we really need is a revolution in gaming technology for the console. Something that provides a new level of interactivity, be it from a 3D projection, to a Virtual Helmet set. ANYTHING would be an improvement over the joystick games of current. I mean look at it this way, we've had the same type of games coming out for years now, nothing new, nothing challenging as far as pushing the limits of what we can do. Why not give the home console gamer something they'll be addicted to? Perhaps an interactive environment where we're pumping sensations to them that they actually FEEL, SMELL or even TASTE. To long has the gaming world been in our rumble packs, ears, and eyes, something has to push forward, and I just wonder when the gaming companies will notice that.
I've got to say I agree. Especially with the "Nobody wants less for more". If you think of it along the lines of you're paying for a compressed audio format, that means that any audiophile isn't going to be lining up to snag these. However, for the general population who could care less about the losses that might occour, this type of system might indeed work.
And people are foolish if they think that people won't pay for such a service. Heck, there are plenty of people who shell out large quantities of money every year for online gaming. The "pay by the month" type games have become exceedingly popular (as noted by the 300,000 mark for SWG), so if they're willing to pay for one form of media, whats to say they won't pay for this one?
Simple as that really imho.
The impressions games should have definately been higher up on that list. My fiancee` has gotten atleast 20 people addicted to those games since I got her Pharoah for christmas one year. That game has probably occupied atleast 500 hours of game play for her, and that's saying something as usually she'll try a game, and then move on to something else within a week.
Those games are highly underrated, and overall, I think the review was good.
I've always been a rather large fan of the Pilot Bravo! Porous Point Pens myself. For a left hander, I've found them to have a very comfortable grip, and quick drying ink, so that I don't winde up with the black smear on my hands from the ink.
They're also rather affordable, and they've got a semi-seethru chamber so you can tell how much ink you have left. Definately worth checking out.
